The student repeating directions back to his or herself help monitoring his own learning. Gaining ownership of his or her work. Draw it out help student visually.

We discussed phonological awareness, decoding, sight recognition, and vocabulary. We agreed that the skills are essential across all academic areas. We discussed that the audio accommodation is not the answer to the problem because students who receive this accommodation continue to struggle in the area of literacy and reading.
