Before i used to forgive people but never forget but i think i am wrong because how come i can forgive people with accepting and forgetting what they have done to me? With the retreat, i helps me to forget what happened from the past and truly forgive them by praying for them to not to do it again not just to me but also on others and by that it gave me a fresh start and peace on me.

There was a vast difference in myself before and after I went to Caleruega. To be honest, I was once a girl who is a non-believer of any God unless I am presented with evidence I can see, hear, and touch. But as I rode on the bus en route Caleruega, I promised myself that I will make my 3-day rest and fee worthwhile by achieving the retreat's objectives. I savour every lessons I received and appreciated how lucky I am to be mentored by great people. There were also sentimental moments I made with other people and the nature. It all became core memories of my life.

It was kind of sad as I left Caleruega, because that place became so sentimental. As I went back to Manila, I rewinded and reflected the past 3 days. And at last, once in a blue moon, I thanked God genuinely.

I came to the retreat with a heavy heart, probably because of the problems I faced and currently facing. The heaviest baggage that I had to carry that day was the grudge that I have against some people. During the retreat, particularly during the reflection and praying time, I had an opportunity to talk to God. I seek for help and He responded quickly in his own way. I am also really thankful to Sir Ted and Fr. Jeff for being God's messengers, their words reached me and made me feel better.

The overall place was also breathtaking. It made me realize how beautiful God's creation is. Also, thanks to the retreat, I got closer to some people I never thought I'd be friends with. (not in a negative way)

I feel nostalgic even today, I miss everything in Caleruega. I hope to visit there sometime. <33

A new being with lots of things realized

I usually neglect the things god wants me to do. Appreciating the efforts/presence of others, being generous, and most importantly, neglecting my health and relaxation. After confessing my sins, I've come to this realization that since we were made in God's likeness and image, we are all the same, meaning we must care for each other.

Kahit simpleng bagay pa yan, always look for something to keep you alive. Even though you're having that kind of thoughts, remember that God still loves you and He wants you to trust Him. Hindi ko in-expect na I'd actually feel 'Relieved' after this retreat. Something about Caleruega was magical. The bond I had there with my self, my classmates, and God was amazing.

The confession with Father made me realize that "I'd never be able to move on if I can't forgive someone and something that happened in my past." Throughout this whole experience I reconnected with my past that I've long buried deep down. I'm thankful that somehow I am finally ready to heal from all those traumatic past experience in my life.

I didn't expect to have so much fun. This was truly a memorable experience that I'd go back to and relive again and again.
