It made him realize that he isn’t guilty, that he didn’t fight with Mr. Nesbitt, that he didn’t take money from him, all he did was walk into the drugstore to look for some mints. One day, two detectives, Williams and Karyl, show up at Steve’s house and handcuff him. They drive off with Steve in the car, his mother and his brother have no idea where he is being taken. Mr. Nesbitt’s death was caused by trauma to the internal organs and internal bleeding, he was shot on the left side of his body and he basically drowned in his own blood. Steve feels like jail is a complete different world and that the world where he comes from is so far away. During the day of the robbery, King and another man were arguing and that one of them asked Nesbitt where the money was and grabbed him by the collar.
