If they are used to things sometimes having to change, change won’t scare them as much. I think having those moments to let loose and go outside of the plan are the most beneficial. Sometimes as teachers we get too ahead of ourselves and want to stay on schedule or meet certain requirements, but we are all human.

You are independently doing what you desire/want, whether it means exploring, indulging, or resting/relaxing.

Last time I had the opportunity to just be was when I was watching one of my nanny children and they were swimming, while they were swimming I decided to go in the pool in an inter-tube and just lay in the sun, soak it up, and enjoy the beautiful scene and sky. I felt at peace, and happy doing something that I love which is water and sub. In that moment I connected how the child jumping and playing water games was the equivalent of me laying in the inter-tube, in the swimming pool and watching them jump around and go down the water slide. We were both doing exactly what we wanted to do.
