BEESPOKE poster

I had the pleasure of working with Anna Vollmer and illustrator Anne-Lieke faber to produce an inspiring and informative poster form farmland management through the seasons.

Using the knowledge and experience I gained during the project, I collated the key points farmers can consider when managing their semi-natural habitat as well as what they might see using these areas.

M&S Farming with Nature - pollinator monitoring training

I was asked by growers at APS at the Isle of Wight branch to come and spend the day showing them how to methodically survey the pollinators on their land. They are hoping to collect data on how the habitat management they are putting in place is improving the abundance and diversity of Solitary bees, bumble bees and hover flies.

Working with such keen and engaged farmers was incredibly rewarding and I look forward to hearing about the data they collect in the future.

There were so many aspects I enjoyed about this blog - Interviewing George provided a significantly different perspective to conservations from my usual day to day. The discussion was so good it made for an interesting challenge to cut down into a blog. I also enjoyed designing the headline image :)
