Finished: 10/08/2018
Genre: Fiction
Catagory: Early Chapter/Series Book
Summary:
This book is a cute little story about a pig named Mercy who lives with a human family called the Watson family. This is the first book of the Mercy books and in this one there is an accident. Mercy loves toast and all she dreams and thinks about is toast, one night Mercy was scared of the dark so she decided to get in the bed with Mr. and Mrs. Watson. But the weight of the three of them makes the floor start to fall apart. The Watson's believe Mercy will save them because she runs off. Mercy is a smart pig but not when it comes to food!

Who would like this book?
This series of books is extremely popular in schools right now, my second graders love to hear about all the different adventures that Mercy goes on. This book would be great for Kindergarten through second grade, it's an easy book to read with lots of pictures and short chapters. Students love books about animals and this is a good twist, rather than having a pig on a farm there is a pig living in the suburbs. It is funny and entertaining!
