If a student has accessed every educational opportunity at Tier 1 and is still not progressing adequately, then:

o Yes = Move to Tier 2

o No = Continue with the current instruction

Schedule a team meeting after all students have completed the Universal Screener and Child Find Checklists.

Develop a plan to determine the intervention materials, personnel, timing, location, progress monitoring tools and frequency, and set a date to review progress. Record this plan, including the names of the students, on the Tier 2 Data Team Documentation form. Inform parents of the student's intervention plan with a Parent Information Letter. Convene follow-up meetings to assess progress after 6-8 weeks of intervention. During these meetings, the team should: Evaluate the progress monitoring data and the student's rate of improvement. Decide whether to alter interventions, continue with the current Tier 2 intervention, or advance the student to Tier 3.
