Her business named "Hinigot" started during the pandemic, what started as a hobby blossomed into the successful business it is today. Bianz not only designs the bracelets and keychains, she personally makes them herself which makes all of her products mean a lot more to her customers.

Anster Antonio's dedication to his craft is paralleled by his commitment to his role as a loving father. He takes immense pride in being there for his children, nurturing their dreams, and providing them with a supportive and nurturing environment. Anster's love for his family serves as a constant source of inspiration, driving him to create meaningful and impactful tattoos that reflect the bond and love shared within families.

He doesn’t really see his talent as a talent but as a skill as is still polishing up until now. He stated that he started doing art during the pandemic because he was bored. He added that doing art during that time was only a pastime activity until it turned into a hobby which eventually turned into a major part of who he is as a person and as an Artisan.

As a digital/traditional artisan, one of his major influences relating to Art is People. Learning about People’s experiences, traumas, horrors, emotions, beautiful moments, and hardships in life influenced his art. Kim Jasper E. Cagampang, a 19-year-old student, was born and raised in Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur, but currently resides in Cagayan de Oro City. He is a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture student at the University of Science and Technology of the Southern Philippines. He developed an interest in arts from kindergarten until he was a senior high school student at Bayugan National Comprehensive High School, winning awards from various contests on interschool poster making, editorial cartooning when he was a part of a journalism program, and even competing against other artists in this country. He also did portraits for people who wanted something to remember them by, for gifts, or to give to their loved ones. His artworks were essentially his strength, voice, and inspiration to motivate others. He never gives up on his dreams and passions, which is why he eagerly continues to hone his strength and love for creating artworks. Furthermore, being surrounded by his family and friends who constantly support, cheer, and root for him was one of his spectacular assets. After achieving his dreams through art, he was always humble and teachable in order for better and more amazing artworks to follow.

She started making digital artworks mid-october 2020, during the days of the pandemic. Engaging in digital art became a way for her to use her free time productively and helped her maintain a sense of purpose and joy amid the challenges of the pandemic. In general, she already engaged in arts during her younger years, specifically in sketching and calligraphy. She started accepting commissions for digital artworks on December 2021 which are best for gifts, projects decorations, and whatnot.

Her trademarks are incorporating minimal tone background, flowers, layers as shadows, and my signature. What makes her art unique is that she likes taking advantage of layers when shadowing dark parts instead of smudging colors. She sees her artworks as neat and minimalist.

Aside from tattooing, Daryl found a new discovery in the world of craft making. Specialized mugs, trinkets, and specialized tobacco pipes are the few of his many crafts that he find joy in making. This added to his tattoo arts commission allowing him to provide for his wife and their one daughter.

As the years went by,  he transcended the role of a mere tattoo artist and evolved into a community builder. Workshops, events, and collaborations became avenues to share his crafts and foster a sense of belonging within the inked tapestry he is weaving.

He is Ramel Camad, a Local artisan from Sinuda, Kitaotao, Bukidnon. A matigsalug artisan. Together with his wife and children they use "Uway" (Wild twine) and "Bagakay" (Wild bamboo) to create native products such as Sala Set, Baskets, Handbag, Hand fan, Flower Pot Stand, Car Chair Supporter, "Duyan" (Hammock), Table, Chair and etc.

As stated by him, There are 2 main materials use in our product, the "Uway" (Wild twine) is the hardest to collect since this plant has many thorn then after collecting this from mountain you need to transport this to the highway. Next is the "Bagakay" (Wild Bamboo) but this is more easier to gather since they can collect it everywhere.

He started this kind of Artistry way back 2009 and after 14 years his business continues to thrive.

By his words "The most challenging I encountered is when I make my first Sala Set and te customers say something about to improve my work. And from that I learned techniques and learned more in every product I make."

She developed her interest in doing crochet during the 2019 pandemic. Her boredom leads her to practice doing crochet, from doing a small squares, big squares, until she knew how to make different things such as bags, bucket hats, tops, hair ties, wallets, and many other cute things using crochet. Fiona's skills on doing crochet showcases her creativity, uniqueness, and her passion to do things.

His artistic journey began with an interest in pencil and oil pastel drawings, evolving into active participation in high school poster-making contests. Kikoy's exploration of art expanded as he transitioned from pencil and charcoal to mastering the art of oil painting, specializing in portrait work. His passion and dedication led him to create larger paintings, which he successfully sells. Kikoy also accepts commissions for both portraits and mural paintings.

As an HM student, Kikoy delved into unique art forms such as fruit carving and coffee paintings and participated in school-related and extracurricular activities. Inspired by his love for painting, Kikoy even took on the entrepreneurial side by crafting his own canvas boards, garnering attention from notable figures like Waway Saway. Additionally, he creates customized tote bags and handmade beads for wearable goods like purses and bracelets. All of Kikoy's exceptional works are showcased on his personal Facebook account, where he shares his artistic journey with a wider audience.

Since he was a child, he has always had a passion for painting and drawing. It started as a hobby, but eventually became a source of livelihood for him in college, serving as a financial support for his studies. Accepting commissions, big or small, has helped him sustain his education.

He joined a lot of contest but the current contest he joined was the recent University Press Conference at Central Mindanao University and represented the college of agriculture as their editorial cartoonist and placed 6th. For him, Art is the alchemy of imagination, where creativity transforms the ordinary into extraordinary, and every stroke tells a tale only the heart can truly understand."

For her works, she does pencil sketch or charcoal sketch and digital art. She started drawing traditionally at the early age of 3 and proceeded to digital art when she was roughly 15 years old. She was inspired by how well professional artists draw and how they visualize their imaginations. How their master pieces tell a story even if it's just a rough sketch and not the final piece. She’s into character concept art, she mostly lean on to fantasy and the characters can be human or non human. She also did drawing portraits of people. She uses graphite pencil and charcoal in sketching.

She claims that even though she may not be a professional for now, her goal is to become one in the future. She also wants to encourage people to follow their passions, show the world their creations and do what they love.

Through his platform Kulot Inkanto, Daryl established an outlet where he can express his creative ideas into a form of body arts and in return rendering him a source of income. Each tattoo carries not only the essence of his creative vision but also the shared narratives of those who sought a piece of Daryl’s artistry.

During the interview, he stated, "As an architect, I'm an artisan by nature. It is because I'm an artist who specializes in designing buildings of any kind. Architects make buildings aesthetic and functional. Michelangelo, Marcus Vitruvius Polio, and Leonardo da Vinci were famous architects of their respective times. They built their own designs. Modern architects do the same by supervising construction sites, aiding skilled workers like masons, carpenters, and so on. And I, as an architect, am proudly an artisan as well."

His philosophy revolves around the idea that "Form follows function, and function adapts to form," emphasizing the balance between aesthetics and functionality in architecture. This philosophy allows for a spectrum from simplicity to grandeur in design.

Jane loves crafting cute, one-of-a-kind items, which sparks her creativity to explore various designs, colors, and patterns. Kate does not only exploit her creative prowess on a drawing and digital pad but also employs it through words and handicrafts. In an exclusive interview, she mentioned that her art style is not defined on a chosen focused medium or style but intends to go beyond into a unique path, broadening her art knowledge.

"I want my creativity to be showcased in whatever I do, in that way, I can say that I did my best to improve in every period and work that had crossed in my hands and it would all be fulfilling to remember."

Moreover, she mentioned that among the types of art she practiced, traditional art has always been her forte ever since she was young because her artistic skills began using the method. In addition, she enjoys painting and character designing the most. Furthermore, with so much confidence, she claimed that whatever she makes and does with her artistic touches, she genuinely thinks that the product will always be outstanding. In which, truly manifests from a few of her art samples that she shared through pictures.

Mark Bo, is a tattoo artist that can be found at Purok 5 Barangay Dologon in Maramag, Bukidnon. In 2018, he began sketching portraits (of people or anime characters) and drawing landscapes on vellum boards/papers and accepting requests. In 2021, he finally started drawing on people's skin. He began participating in tattoo competitions and even won several of them. He accepts freestyles, client's own designs, and his own concepts for tattoos. Many people endorse him as a tattoo artist because of his enraging abilities and expertise. Despite his reasonable charges, he has a friendly and personable demeanor because he enjoys what he does and wants to tattoo practically every day.

Her great grandmother taught her how to make beads, so she began producing accessories out of beads when she was a teenager.

I keep making these beaded items because it is always worth it to me to make this masterpiece out of love.

Did you find it difficult to make these items with beads?

Yes, I have a lot of trouble since it takes a lot of time to make and finish an accessory, and some of the beads are too little.

Is beading considered an art form? Yes, I do view this as art, I find inspiration and use it to create these.

What motivates you to create accessories out of beads? As much as I enjoy making beads, my daughter will soon carry on the family tradition and inspire me to make a masterpiece.

He is Ronald Casile, a 46 years old artisan residing in Purok 7 Managok, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. He is known for his wood work and furniture making. He has been making wood products for over 15 years such as tables, chairs, bookshelves, and many more. He has a unique and different styles of creation. Usually he uses Mahogany and Gmelina wood for his wood products.

The beauty of being an artisan is multifaceted, encompassing craftsmanship, creativity, the joy of handmade, cultural preservation, and resistance to a disposable culture. Artisans bring forth the essence of the human spirit, celebrating the mastery of skills and the unique expressions of creativity.

In fact, some recognized her for her undeniably astounding works in painting, sketching, and even doing crafts. She sells her artworks, gains commissions, and has exposed some of her artworks in arts exhibits and gain praises of it. According to her, art is her best way of great escape from the pain of reality, and through art, she finds comfort and a real home.

Amid the pandemic's challenges, Japhet turned his love for tattoos into a job. He started tattooing to pay bills. Each tattoo he made wasn't just a drawing; it was a story about overcoming tough times. His studio became a special place where he connected with people through his art, sharing experiences and creating something meaningful together. Tattooing during hard times not only helped him make a living but also showed how art brings people closer, even in difficult moments.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Sociology at Bukidnon State University. Carl has passionately pursued his artistic journey from a young age. He embarked on his tattooing journey at the age of 18 and has since honed his craft for a remarkable four years.

Carl has developed a profound affinity for using 5rl needles for lining and 7rm or 23rm needles for shading, allowing him to achieve remarkable precision in his work. His preferred artistic style revolves around pointillism or dot work, which not only offers aesthetic convenience but also provides a captivating visual experience that is both easily appreciated and interpreted.

He is actively participates in local tattoo competitions for skill development and recognition. Through these events, he hones his abilities, receives valuable feedback, and gains exposure within our community. His involvement contributes to the growth and vibrancy of the local tattoo scene.

Throughout his artistic journey, Carl has experienced a surge of exhilaration and pride whenever he is recognized as a tattoo artist. She claims that they follow a pattern when creating their products to prevent imitations. The principal colors utilized in the production of their items are red, yellow, black, and white. These colors are the trademark of Manobo tribe, which symbolizes red as bravery, yellow as abundance, white as purity, and black as deepness.

While she doesn't categorize her skills as traditional "art," Merlojane uses creative expression as a therapeutic outlet.

Engaging in art serves as a form of therapy for Merlojane, helping her cope with stress, disappointment, depression, and anxiety. She prefers mediums like paintbrush, acrylic, watercolor, and cardboard, finding comfort in direct, hands-on creation over using a ballpoint pen or cellphone.

Merlojane's artistic style leans towards abstract expressionism and impressionism. A notable piece featuring a boat holds sentimental value, having been a gift that resonated positively with someone close to her. For Merlojane, art is more than visual expression; it's a tool that helps her combat negativity and find solace in both challenging and joyous times.

According to her, their crafts were actually acknowledged by Manoy Zubiri's wife, and they had already exported some of their works to their house in Manila. She stated that they used it to give it to their visitors and other friends overseas as a souvenir. And when the Christmas holiday arrived, Zubiri's wife had ordered some beaded decorations for their Christmas tree.

They have certain patterns in their tribe that they follow, and as a teacher, she takes great pride in assisting the next generation in realizing their potential through beadwork, clothing design, and other crafts. Her ability to make beads helped her finish her education when her parents didn't support her studying. She used her beadmaking skills to help her finish her studies. She also stated that making beautiful crafts out of beads is her life, even though for others it may seem like just a simple bead, but to her it was her life. It was the thing that she loved the most.

Febbie first did commissions on calligraphies. It was during her last year in senior high school that she started making customized bracelets, keychains, and bookmarks as a business for the Entrepreneurship subject. Later on, she realized that making those customized things brought her happiness as well as profit. Because of her perseverance and skills, she was able to gain a large number of customers and followers on her social media accounts. Leonito L. Dacera is a 57-year-old artisan from General Luna, Surigao del Norte. He started his journey into creating furniture in his early teens. At first, he was just a simple carpenter who cut wood to make chairs, tables, and cabinets. But then he started to explore his talents and made various art pieces, including wooden miniatures of bridge designs, money boxes, etc. Although he does not largely produce his own work, Leonito made money from walk-in clients, provided they would give him their own wood.

In the field of art, Leonito believes that visual presentation is only second to what an artisan wants to achieve. Unlike artists, to him, achieving appreciation through the actual function of his artwork is his main purpose.

For his artworks he does Paint, Charcoal, Pen, soil, coffee, pencil, markers and watercolor which he also accepting commissions for additional income and also for his extra allowance.

He start to draw when he was in highschool and then he practice it everyday that's why he improved his skills in drawing.

As of now he uses brushes for painting, charcoal pencils for portrait, pastel colors for poster making and etc.

Princess is a 20 years old student from Central Mindanao University taking up BS Agriculture major in Agriculture Extension student. She is from the place that produces numerous number of Palay, Barangay Simaya Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

From a young age, she found comfort and happiness in the process of creating something. For Princess, creating art evolved from a pastime to an integral aspect of who she was today. She realized as she grew older that her love of doing art could be more than just a means of achieving personal fulfillment—it also becomes her path to independence (where in a lot of people pays her for sketch/drawings that enables her to support her college journey).

As stated by Princess, She included that every stroke throughout the weave of her life relates a story of a girl who made her love her career, demonstrating that sometimes the most remarkable tales come from the brushstrokes of an unusual character.

She said that “not only I met my needs in every session and sale, but I also showed that unusual roads might lead every individual to mazing places”.

While grinding through his veterinary medicine degree at CMU, he found a chill escape in sketching and painting during study breaks. Fiedyl takes on commissions as his primary source of income to meet his daily needs. His clientele varies from one country to another, making him internationally recognized by people who love his artwork. When commissions are scarce, he usually hones his skills by creating personal art, which he then showcases on his online platform as a form of advertisement for those seeking his particular art style. Apart from digital art, Fiedyl is also a loving friend, brother, and son, cherished by those around him. He excels not only in badminton but also in traditional art, showcasing his versatility. Fiedyl is a smart individual with a mind filled with a spectrum of imagination and creativity

She had done crocheting for almost 8 months. At first, she did this just for fun and to get rid of boredom. The first finished art work she did was crochet swimwear. Some people saw her work and told her that she could have this as a source of income. She didn't expect that many people want to purchase her works like bras, tops, or even bouquets of flowers with yarn. Now it's her source of income to buy her needs as a student. It's also her stress reliever.

Drawing anime characters is Cueva's passion, and it shows in his warm studio. His commitment to this particular style of art is evident in the walls covered in vibrant sketches and the buzz of creative activity. His foray into the world of anime started out as a personal experiment but soon became an integral part of who he was as a craftsman.

Cueva's deft hands capture the spirit of each character with each brushstroke, transferring the dynamic energy of anime onto paper. From well-known heroes to deviously drawn antagonists, his illustrations capture the richness and variety of the anime world. His works serve as a visual dialogue that bridges the gap between the global phenomenon of anime culture and traditional Filipino artistry.

Cueva's anime-inspired artwork adds a modern twist while staying deeply rooted in Nabunturan culture, making it appealing to a younger audience and bridging generational divides. In addition to reflecting his own passion, his work acts as a bridge for cross-cultural communication, providing a forum for discussion between the local community and the rapidly growing anime fandom.

Cueva actively engages with neighbourhood schools and community centres to share his love of anime art, so his influence goes beyond his studio. Aspiring artists can explore their creativity under his guidance in workshops and group projects, which create a sense of community and mutual inspiration.

The Anime Artisan of Nabunturan, Josiah James P. Cueva, is a storyteller as well as an illustrator. His illustrations capture stories that speak to local customs as well as the universal language of anime. Cueva's artwork becomes a vibrant thread weaving the varied tapestry of Nabunturan's artistic landscape as a result of this fusion of cultures.

Crocheting is Miss Irish Abigail Pasian's hobby and business. Miss Irish is a second-year Bachelor of Science in Agriculture at Central Mindanao University. It is her boredom that allows her to express her creativity through her handmade projects, such as crochet tops, hats, flowers, baby shoes, and bags. She started making crochet and selling it during the pandemic out of sheer boredom and her cousin's influence.

With her patience, practice, and hard work, she was able to showcase her creativity using different patterns and textures in her wonderful crafts.

Trixy Galua-Ricare, the crochet artisan of HANDuman talks about her craft.

Her craft is about customizing products such as, bags, bucket hats, tops, flowers and many more with the use of Yarn and kneeting needle that begun it way back 2021 during the CoVID-19 pandemic. Having great passion and love to create, Trixy was eager to learn and explore new things. Amidst pandemic, she claims to have always thought about what else she should do to improve herself and her skills without breaking any rules and protocols.

“That influenced me to dive in into crocheting.” She says.

Trixy posted her finished products on social media and took notice of the people who loved it. A few people sent her messages asking, “How much do your products cost?”. Some also began to send sample pictures of designs they wanted to book an order for. This, then, opened a business opportunity for the artisan, havingI earned money out of what she loved to do.

“That was the time I decided to creat my own brand name and receive orders every week.” Trixy claims upon realizing an open door for her craft to be seen by the world, the now brand HANDuman. “I researched and watched more videos every single day to develop my skills. I also tried to explore new designs & new products that are also made out of yarn. I just simply chose to improve my capabilities day by day.”

Each of HANDuman’s customised products are all hand made. It would take hours, days, weeks, and even a month to finish a single order and if, even, one mistake is made, Trixy would need to redo the product from the very beginning, and crochet all over again to perfect it. Trixy strives to create more quality handmade products and considered every set back as an opportunity for her to become better in her craft.

Creative block is very common among artists and artisans, and Trixy claims to experience it most of the time. She sits for hours counting every stitch she needs to achieve and ensure that the quality and design are aligned.

Concluding the interview with such inspiration, Trixy, HANDuman’s artisan, says, “I experience pause but that doesn't stop me to continually step up and finish my project.”

He became interested in making paracord bracelets in 2018 because of his cousin's friend who makes bracelets and dreamcatchers. With this, it became a hobby of his to craft paracord bracelets. It shows that he is an aspiring craft enthusiast who embarked on a creative journey by turning a simple hobby into a fulfilling passion. His cousin's friend inspired him to craft and sell it. He developed a fresh passion for the art. His enthusiasm grew as he learned how to craft bright patterns, tie knots, and most especially turn plain cords into expressive pieces.

At the early age of 10, Dexter saw potential within him, urging him to start participating in school activities regarding the arts, like poster-making contests. Since then, the fire in him has never faded. Up until now, he has continued his passion for the arts. He does art as a hobby and liesure activity, but then realizes that he can make money out of it. He used to sell paintings until he switched to digital arts because of the influence of online games. Now, he's a digital artist who accepts commissions to help his family. The most memorable part of the piece that she worked on was during the preparation of their church Thanksgiving, when they made her lead the decoration team. Satisfaction and joy made her work. She became aware of what she does right now because she enjoys it.

One of the very few artisans in our barangay, my very own father Jaime C. Barcuma Sr. born on September 13, 1964 in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental. He was 59 years old right now and still making houses and furnitures. He started building houses ang making furnitures at the age of 24 as part of his work to earn money. My father is one those people mentioned in the quote above whose not a professional nor doesn't have any diploma. And yet he raise us by his own hard works. Through these works he earned money to sustain our daily needs and was able to raise us 11 siblings. He said that making furnitures requires a time,patience and hard work to finish especially building houses. But still he manage to do this up until now.

He is a woodcarver who raised many of his children including my father who was his nephew during his youthful years and supported them dearly in his youth.

As of now, my uncle retired from his home and told me of the many things he has done.

One of which he carved many masterpieces out from wood.

Of having a block of wood as an intricate medium, he told me to use carving knives and mallets with caution. He also told me to always prioritize safety at best and a pair of wear gloves, a dust mask, and safety glasses.

Most importantly, to practice, to listen and to watch the more experienced ones work with good attention.

That would be at his prime and he would also tell me to wear a pair of gloves in his early days.

As of this, he would also maintain his tools which are now hidden and kept safe somewhere even my relatives don't know.

As for inspiration in life, he doesn't have any only an aim to make sure that none of the children that he is raising will experience his hardships.

He said, "I only did woodcarving because bigshots from back then loved wood carvings since it symbolizes wealth and well-being, and our family at that time was so poor that they could barely afford a kilogram of rice a day."

He also did wood carving so that he could support many of his children back then even my father who was still a teenager at that time.

He would always laugh at my tantrums and make fun of me when I was still at a young age and I understand why. LOL!

He will always tell me an idiom by which my father also tells me, "Aim for the pen, not the brick."

The pen emphasizes that finishing college and having an educated mind ensures a good life, assures happiness, and prepares us for hardships to come. The brick however emphasizes a life but it is heavy and not easy.

By now, he is retired because he is physically unfit, and old, and his labor is now replaced by precise and cold machinery.

Of course, I can assure you that he is now happy, and his children are now well off in their lives because of his dedication and determination to a better tomorrow.

They sticker different vehicles but they mainly focus on big trucks. He was 20 years old when he entering this kind of job and later he noticed that he was possessed this kind of skills and talent. Until now a age of 28 years old he still manage to satisfy the customers with his sticker artworks.

According to his statement, being one of the youngest of eight siblings, I assist my parents and siblings with day-to-day expenses due to my occupation. I learned to save money, to love my basic life, to be passionate about my work, and to afford the things I desire. I was a headstrong kid, and as I got older, it got worse because I got involved in things that could endanger my life and health. But when poverty struck, I grew up and wanted to help my parent and siblings. I decided to work at my cousin's company shop until now, and with their help, I gradually mastered and became a sticker artisans.
