In your post, include your response for the following THREE questions:

What type of POV do you see in the movie "snack attack? " How do you know?

Now that you have learned different types of POV,, it's time to play around with it. Rewrite the story for "snack attack" from a new point of view. Your story must demonstrate an understanding of POV and the original story. You can choose one of the following options:

Write a diary entry from the POV of the old lady in which she reflects on her encounter with the young man at the train station.

Write a mood blog from the young man POV in which he writes about his special experience with the old lady at the station.

Use third-person omniscient POV to show the inner thinking and the interaction between the old lady and the young man when they were at the station.

Write with first-person POV as the passenger who happened to witness everything that happened between the old lady and the young man. What do you think and how would you try to solve the conflict?

CHALLENGE: think of your own creative writing with a new POV. Share your idea with your teacher before you begin.

Final step- Reflection: What was the impact of a new point of view? How did changing the point of view allow you to include new or different information?

I see in the movie "Snack Attack" the third limiting of POV from an old woman story. We see the story mostly from the old woman's side, but we don’t know what the young man is thinking.

I know because we see the old women's feelings and actions, but we don't hear the young man's thoughts.

The story from the young man's point of view.

My experience at the train station.

Today, something strange happened at the train station. I was just sitting there, waiting for the train and eating cookies, when an old woman next to me started yelling. She said i took her cookies, but i didn't! I thought she was rude for shouting at me. I tried to be nice and gave her the last cookie, but she didn't respond. I felt confused and sad. After she left, I thought about it more. Maybe she made a mistake and thought I took her cookies. It was a strange experience, but i hope she is okay.

Reflection:

Changing the point of view to young man's perspectives added his thoughts and feelings, which wwere not in the original story. This showed his confusion and kindness during the misunderstanding. The conflict focused more on how he handled the situation, and the theme included ideas about misunderstanding and empathy from his side.

The type of POV is third person omniscient. Because this story shows both of the two character's feelings and motivations.

The first person POV of the old lady: One day I went to the vending machine to buy a cookie. Then I take it to the train station. Since I sit on the bench to read the newspaper, and enjoyed my cookie. There was a young man who sit next to me, I noticed that he eat my cookie. I was angry that he is being incredibly rude and his action was illegal. I was trying to judge him, but he played the rock music loud and ignored me. What is the attitude of the young generation! I almost being crazy. Unfortunately, the train was coming and I had to stop yelling. Then I took on the train and showed the ticket for the ticket inspector. The thing that me shock is that there is a cookie in my purse! I realized I was wrongly blame him. I felt ashamed.

Snack Attack

The type of POV I see in the movies is third person Omnicient. I know this because the narrator and us know the feelings, the thoughts about both cahracters like the narrator know everything about the characters.

One day, the elderly woman was at the train station getting ready to take the train. When she noticed the machine, she realized she was hungry and decided to grab a snack instead of waiting for the train. the cookie became stuck, which infuriated her because she was desperate just to grab the snack. She then hurried to the machine and pushed it, which caused the snack to fall, making her pleased. She then searched for a seat and discovered one, but it upset her because a young man was listening music out loud, even if people talked to him he would not hear them. The old lady tried to talk to him, but the young could not hear her.

While the old lady was sitting she saw a sanck and started to take some pieces she figured out that the young man was taking in the snack, she became more and more angry but The young man did not care about that because she is a old lady. The old lady did not even think about whose snack was it when they both finished eating the snack, the train came and the lod lady got on and open her purse and saw the sanck that she bought at this time she realized that she was eating the young man's snanck.

Knowing more about the story with feelings and thoughts was the impact of a new point. I included their thoughts and feelings when I switched to the third person omniscient point of view, which helps the reader understand why they are thinking or feeling what they are. When we can see the thoughts and sentiments at the end of the story, I believe that changing the point of view also impacted the storyline because it made the resolution very different.

The type of POV I saw in the movie "snack attack" is the third person because old woman and the young man, they both didn't tell the story, the third person, we saw everything except their thought and feelings inside them, so it just third person.

           Snack Attack new story

One day the old woman was going to use the train and she was at the train station. She was hungry and then she saw the machine, then she told to herself that she should get a snack unless she is waiting for the train. After she pressed the numbers of the cookie, the cookie got stuck and she got mad because she really wanted to get it, the she went little bit away to the machine and the she ran to the machine and pushed it, the the snack fell and she got happy. After that she was looking for a seat to sit and she found one but there was a young guy and he was listening a rock song but that bothered her because it was so loud even he was using headphones. She was mad and she wanted to tell him to make it little down but then she saw cookies and she just wanted to eat cookies. Then she opened the packet of the cookies then the young man saw it and he thinks why she trying to eat his cookies but he didn't wanted to care about it because she is old woman. When he tried to eat his cookies, the old woman got mad and she think that's enough and started to yelling on him, at that time the young man was thinking why she was yelling at him but he didn't care, he was still listening a rock song. After all the things happened she got on the train and gave the ticket. Then she saw the actual cookie that she supposed to eat then she thought, she misunderstood everything and acted so rude to him and felt bad. The young man was thinking what just happened and why she acted in that way but he was saying to himself maybe she thought the cookies were hers instead his cookies. The end.

The impact of a new point was knowing more about the story with emotions and thoughts. When I changed the point of view and added the third person omniscient I included emotions and thoughts of both of them and that make the reader know more about why they actually thinking or feeling. When I changed the POV, I think the plot also changed because the end of the story, we can see the thoughts and feelings so that little changed the resolution.

I left and when to sit on a bench waiting for the train when On the other way in front of me I saw that old lady again I think she was very very angry she was screaming at a young man I did not know why until I realized they were arguing on a misunderstood about a cookie the old lady says the cookie was hers and the young man says it was his and the train finally arrived. once on the bus I saw the old lady taking out of her bag a bag of cookie, so I think she accused the young man wrongly.

In the movie we can saw a thirds person limited POV. This means the audience sees the story from outside perspective, but we are likely following the main characters thoughts, feeling and experience. The story focuses on one character's perspective, especially how the character reacts to situations.

Diary:

I went to the train as usual, looking forward to my snack, just a small treat to enjoy. But this young man, he just took it from my hands! I can't believe, he just grabbed and ate them! I felt so confused, I tried to say something but he didn't even notice. He just taken my snack without asking. Why do people they can do whatever they want? I take a lesson of today situation and I will be more careful next time.

Changing the POV has a big impact on how we understand the story. This change in POV allows us to see different things from both the old lady's and the young man sides. Without this, we wouldn't know about the confusion and misunderstanding. By showing both sides, the story gives us better understanding of mistakes and reactions. When the POV changed, the plot changing from a misunderstanding to a realization. The conflict went to the lady feeling wrong to her mistake. Characterization change too, as the young man.

The type of POV in the movie Snack Attack is third person because neither the old woman nor the young man tells the story. We see everything that happens, but we don't get access to their inner thoughts and feelings. Therefore, it’s told from a third-person perspective.

New Story: Snack Attack

One day, an old woman was at the train station, waiting for her train. She was hungry, so she decided to buy a snack from the vending machine. She pressed the button for the cookies, but they got stuck, and she became frustrated because she really wanted them. She stepped back, then ran up to the machine and shook it, and finally, the snack fell. She was happy to get it.

Looking for a place to sit, she noticed a young man already sitting down. He was listening to loud rock music on his headphones, which bothered her. Even though the music was coming through his headphones, it felt too loud for her. She thought about telling him to turn it down but then remembered the cookies, which she was eager to eat.

She opened the snack and started eating, but the young man saw it and thought she was eating his cookies. He didn’t say anything, thinking it wasn’t worth it since she was just an old woman. As the old woman ate, she got angry when she saw him trying to eat his own cookies. She yelled at him, and the young man, confused, wondered why she was yelling, but he didn’t care. He was still focused on his music.

After a while, the old woman got on the train and showed her ticket. While settling in, she realized that the cookies she had eaten weren’t even hers. She felt embarrassed and regretted yelling at the young man. The young man, also puzzled, thought that maybe she had mistaken his cookies for hers.

The end.

Reflection on Changing the Point of View:

Changing the point of view helped to provide more insight into the emotions and thoughts of both the old woman and the young man. By using third-person omniscient, I could reveal what each character was thinking, which made it easier to understand their actions and feelings. The story felt different because the ending showed the characters’ inner thoughts, which helped explain the misunderstanding. The change in POV also influenced the plot by adding more depth to their emotions, which made the resolution more meaningful.

The type of POV In this movie is 3 person Omniscient POV. Because this movie show the old lady and the young boy feeling and action.

" Snack Attack "

Today everything was good, good weather, good vibe. I just listen to my rock music at the subway station waiting for my train. Then have a old lady come here and sit down next me and reading her news paper. Next she picked up my cookies and opened it start eating, I didn't know what happened. But I think maybe she was hungry, that is fine we can share, I don't care. But after I ate she was felt mad like I'm that thief who stolen her cookies. But that is mine cookies....

That POV makes me felt more emotion and can understand other people thinking not everything just happened one way.

In the movie I saw in the movie " snack attack" is third person limited because narrator does not include two people feeling and though. Only have the feeling of old lady.

Today, an old lady bought a cookie. Then she went to take the train home. While waiting for the train, she reached out to eat the cookie, and then another young man was eating the cookie. The old lady was very angry. (But in fact, this was not her cookie, but the young man's.) The old lady thought: Why did he eat my cookie? Then the old lady put the cookie on her lap. The young man thought: Hey, my cookie, why did the old lady put it on her lap. Never mind, it doesn't matter. He continued to eat, and the old lady was very angry and started talking, "You kid, why are you eating my cookie? You are invading my personal property, which is illegal!" The young man was listening to rock music with headphones and couldn't hear what she was saying at all. The man thought: Is this a compliment to me? Then he said, "What are you talking about?" He broke the last cookie into two pieces and gave one to the old lady. Then the old lady got even angrier and said, "This is my cookie!!" and crushed it. Then the train arrived and she got on the train angrily. The young man felt very confused. After the old lady got on the train, she opened the bag and found her cookie. He realized that he had misunderstood the young man. She felt sorry.

This is third person omniscient. I added the perspective and thoughts of the young man. There is also narration. This change lets us know more about the character's thoughts about the story. When I changed my point of view, other narrative elements in the story did not change.
