I would love to know about poems and stories that have more vocabulary, more complex figurative language that would make my mind go spinning around till I'm dizzy.

How Poet Tu Fu represents nature in ''Written on the Wall at Chang's Hermitage''.

Tu Fu describes nature as something he comes seeking for. He loves nature. He talks about nature being gentle. That the place he is calm and filled with peaceful nature sounds.

Tu fu says that ''the chopping of wood echoes between the silent peaks'' says that it was so pin-drop silence over where Tu Fu was that he could hear the chopping of woods from over the mountains. I was so indulged in it that I imagined myself in that calm weather filled with nature's natural sounds along with my sister Hanifa & my best friend Aadi. It's always good to have the closest people with you to experience the most peaceful things ever!

Want - I would like to know more on Idioms and the other types of figurative language that I am not aware of.

Learn - I learnt more on figurative language. The things I learnt are End stopped, Enjambment, Caesura and Symbol .

It is very silent that he can hear the wood chopping in distance. He passes by seeing snow trail. He reaches a grove by sunset near a stony mountain.He says, he feels just like the nature empty minded calm nothing to keep in and just to give something to others. He floats like an empty boat,floating adrift.The poet also uses the aural tactile and visual qualities brilliantly.

In “Written On The Wall At Chang’s Hermitage,” the poet Tu Fu presents nature using aural, tactile and visual images which appeal to the sense of hearing, the sense of touch and the sense of sight.

” It is Spring in the mountains,” shows the beginning of new life for nature after an icy cold winter. “The sound of chopping wood echoes,” tells of the silence that fills the mountain air. “The streams are still icy.There is snow on the trail.”Tells that even though it is Spring the weather is still cold. The poet describes the mountain pathways as stony, probably difficult to climb but he describes the nights up in the mountains as captivating, lit up with the moonlight and fireflies.

The poet also uses figurative language to enhance the effect of the poem on the readers. He uses end-stopped such as in the sentence "The streams are still icy" to make the readers pause and focus on that sentence. He uses enjambment in the sentence "The sound of chopping wood echoes" to create a sense of continuation, a feeling to want to read more to know more.

He presents nature as a mesmerising  place where troubles are forgotten and a place where one does not want to leave. A place so soothing and calm, beautiful and peaceful is how Tu Fu presents nature in his poem. 

The poet touches our tactile sense through “the stony mountain pass”, the streams are still icy, and the snow on the trail. In the night, the moon shines bright through the mountains spreading an “aura of gold and silver ore all around”. The poet realizes that a ‘gentle and tamed’ life can transform you for the better.

The poem implies that a life lived simply can still have all the riches within.
