What recipe did you choose? Why?

I chose a skillet cookie or pizookie recipe to make. I chose this because it is one of my favorite things to eat at a restaurant and I wanted to learn how to make it at my house.

What is the purpose of the film? - please do not answer that it's for my class. Why are you excited about making it?

The purpose is tell an interesting and fun story about my journey creating a pizookie. The audience should be happy or enjoyed by the video. I'm excited about making it because I have never made a pizookie before and I can't wait to try this one.

What are the three most important points this video should make?

It needs to show me having a good time making the pizookie, it needs to show generally the process I went about making it, and it needs to show me trying the pizookie.

What do you want the audience to do and/or feel in the end?

I want the audience to feel hungry and happy. If I can show the audience how much fun and how good it looks then they may try it for themselves.

What is the ONE thing, if they get nothing else, you want the audience to remember after watching your video?

I want them to remember the shock and happiness in my eyes when I take my first bite into the pizookie.

Please find 1-3 visual examples (picture, text, video) that represent the style you are trying to achieve.

Super fun joyful cooking video
- Has a super light tone no pressure and would look better if I accidentally messed up.
- I would achieve this effect by having a lot of the focus of me creating the food and me being happy rather than just shots of only the food.
- This would work really well with this piece because it is a dessert piece I could also make things messy for a cool effect. Like accidentally have a bunch of flour spilled on my kitchen counter.

The Gordon Ramsey
- This is the opposite of the joyful. It would be two versions of myself one yelling at myself yelling to get the food right and the other panicking.
- This would switch back and forth between these characters and could end with the Gordon Ramsey character being completely satisfied with how the pizookie turned out.
- I would also ensure that both characters of myself wore distinctive outfits to better polarize them.

Confusion
- The entire time I am panicking trying to make this food the best as possible, but act as if I keep messing up or adding the wrong ingredients, when in reality I am doing it correctly.
- There would be so much chaos in this that it would be super humourous and almost joyful.
- It would end with a complete sense of shock starting at when the pizookie is pulled out of the oven and finishing when I realize how good it tastes

How did this third week go for you? What was challenging? What could Mr. Burr have done better?

This third week went pretty well for me. It was basically the second week, but more of taking the skills I learned then and applying them even further. I thought it went well for me and I was able to produce something i really liked and enjoyed. The most challenging part was trying to film and learn to cook at the same time and I worried that it would effect my film, but it ended up only affecting my cooking. Apparently 1 1/4 cup of sugar doesn't mean one quarter cup of sugar it means 5/4 cups of sugar, so it wasn't that sweet. I don't think Mr. Burr could have done anything better this week.

What was the most valuable thing you learned this week? Why?

The most valuable thing I learned this week was shot variety. I wouldn't say I exactly learned it, but I started taking a variety of different shots that almost reflected the mood of the scene it was in. This helped the overall movie have a coherent fitting tone.

How did you feel about the storytelling? Are your proud of your project? What went well? What could go better?

I thought my story telling this week was more clear and I thought the progression was well done. I am definitely proud of my project the only thing I would fix in the future is maybe change some of the open shelf/door shots to something else. I think that this was the only area that was lacking in shot variety for me. In the future I think I would use more POV or BEV shots.
