This scene in specific is very important because it represents well the family feud among the two families in the play ,and shows that the level of tensions was very high that leads to a fight just from a provocation due to an altercation done on purpose. 

The trailer "Never Back Down" shows the protagonist Jack Tyler at a party and he finds himself in a similar situation where someone else wants to start a fight with him for no reason.

This passage from Mercutio is important because it shows that in order to enter the party they will have to disguise. The mask is utilized also as a metaphor to say that the mask can prevent someone to see the flaws. In Romeo's case the mask permitted him to meet Juliet and hided the fact that he was a Montague.

The picture above represent a mask. In Latin the word "person" is traduced with theatrical mask. The truth of the identity of an individual is hidden under a mask. Being rejected, abandoned, humiliated and, betrayed are all wounds that do not permit us to be our self. 

Pirandello in this line emphasize this idea "  You’ll learn at your expense that in life’s long journey you will meet many masks and few true faces" 
This quote means that everyone that we will meet is the actor of their lives and therefore only few people will reveal true to us.

This passage is important because Romeo being in love with Juliet does not counteract against Tybalt. He acted to separate Tybalt and Mercutio from fighting but he failed in this attempt. This shows that he did not want to hurt Juliet by fighting with Tybalt at first ,but then because of Mercutio's death he understands that a revenge was necessary. Shakespeare wants to portray Romeo as weaker character in this scene to emphasize the fact that being in love can cause you to be blind and forget about reality. The Prince ordered the exile of Romeo because he somewhat betrayed Mercutio.

The Prince in this final passage expresses that the two families were able to come to realize the importance of the word peace only after the death of Romeo and Juliet.

The lines from the prince can be seen like an armistice. An armistice as shown in the picture above represents a document that ends a fight with a peace treaty that is necessary to move forward. The family feud was described as a war therefore there is a clear understanding that the things will now change among the families.
