Going outside, getting fresh air, and trying to grow things makes me feel happy. I put energy and care into each plant and hope that it grows! I wait all winter to get to the spring just so I can grow things! The hope that the cold winter days will eventually turn to warm spring days gets me through! -Ms Gordon, BMS School Counselor

Watching my plants grow and getting outside makes me feel positive. Researchers have been studying the effects of a positive vs negative mindset and think some benefits of a positive mindset may be, longer life span, better resistance to the common cold, and improved cardiovascular health and reduce risk of death from cardiovascular diseases.
