I observed during our implementation that the chairman had a hard time deciding whether to implement the policy we proposed because of the people who were not willing to follow the laws they were proposing, but the chairman still implemented it because he knew the benefits it would bring to them. While hanging tarpaulins for awareness among the people in the barangay, I observed how curious they were about what was inside the tarpaulin we were putting up.

During the implementation of our community project, I made various observations and gained insights. One of them is that you cannot please everyone. As our implementation occurs, a few of our respondents are just there for what we will give them. But regardless, you should not focus on the negative. Use the negative side of your actions as an inspiration and determination to be better and stronger. Next, we could not have implemented if we hadn't stuck together. Without our partnered NGO, barangay personnel, and our beloved teachers, we would fail. So I am most grateful to them, together with my co-members. And lastly, even a small change you have made may play a huge role in deviance. Changing a stagnant world may begin with tiny changes.

Our environmental awareness seminar and support program, "Trash Talk: Smart Ways To Manage Waste," has truly carved a beautiful purpose in my heart. What began as a vision that seemed impossible and was doubted many times turned out to be a success. I am proud that our group was able to invite two well-known guest speakers in the fields of science and the environment, which added great value to the seminar.

We also had the opportunity to donate protective and cleaning equipment to street sweepers. More importantly, with the help of the Community Outreach and Linkages, we were able to provide grocery raffles to those in need. It was heartwarming to see almost 60 to 70 participants, and most of them stayed until the end of the seminar.

I am beyond grateful for the cooperation and support of the barangay officials, as well as our teachers, parents, and friends. Their encouragement made this event possible. I am excited and hopeful to organize more community seminars like this in the future, continuing to raise awareness and make a positive impact.

What I observed during our implementation is that it’s difficult to encourage people if you have nothing concrete to offer them. However, I can’t really blame them. they simply want practical experience. Another thing I noticed is that motivation tends to fade when people don't clearly see how an activity will benefit them. It made me realize that effective leadership isn't just about inviting others; it’s also about showing them the value of their efforts.

I don’t mean this as an insult or a way to criticize them—I actually admire them even more because of it. I tried to let them read on their own, but after a while, they gave up and asked me to read the chapters for them. Even so, their answers and thoughts after each reading were very meaningful. When I gained their trust, they were full of energy and excitement during our discussions. Even though they had busy lives outside of our sessions, they still chose to spend their time with us, learning and sharing their ideas. I am truly grateful for their effort, their time, and their willingness to learn from us🫶🏻❤️

Everything in our community seminar was a success, we had our stuff ready before hand from the food (lunch and merienda), the tents, the chairs, the giveaways (money, dog and cat food, treats, leashes, and poop bags). Even though our first seminar was an hour late, because of a certain politician who I shall not name (Abante) decided to campaign last minute in the barangay pushing our schedule back, we accomplished everything and finished right on time. I also noticed (observed) that while we were on the planning and implementation stage of our project, the barangay secretary was the one who mostly did the work instead of the barangay chairman (no shade). All the barangay officials from the kagawads to the secretary were all helpful. The sunlight during both seminars (the first and second seminar), created problems with the projectors.

Despite of the initial thought, I have observed the joyful faces of the children because we're implementing a storytelling program. It was not just about solving the problems of the residents but studying various experiences of them.

We made two separate implementations at C.A in our efforts to achieve perfection and professionalism. The barangay community prevented us from achieving success in our first attempt. The absence of barangay support alongside an unprepared community makes community outreach extremely challenging when obtaining responses. Experience from our initial endeavor became useful instructional information that helped us produce a flawless second attempt. When respondents receive no benefits from participating in research activities they tend to avoid the studies or fail to cooperate. We learned many valuable lessons from this experience that turned out to be an excellent adventure.

That day was a lot of fun with the children we worked with during our implementation, We didn't just teach them, we also made sure they enjoyed the activities we had them do. Not only did they learn from us, but I also learned from them. Because they told me about their experiences and the kind of hardships they are experiencing now. I'm happy because we were one of those who were able to give them a little help.

We were asking for solicitations and donations just to make things happen because our budget was barely enough for our transpo, let alone rent a projector. On top of that, the barangay officials were like intimidating gatekeepers and the venue? Well it was a basketball court right next to a burol with motorcycles parked nearby and a barbecue stand in the back. It felt like we were trying to host a seminar and burol at the same time! But despite the chaos we made it work with teamwork, a bit of luck, and a lot of borrowed stuff from classmates!

I remember the time where we were lacking participants which contributed to the whole performance of the implemented seminar.

During the implementation of our C.A. (Community Action) projects, I was able to observe significant differences between our first and second seminars.

In our first seminar, things did not go as smoothly as we had hoped. There was a lot of confusion among the attendees, especially regarding the distribution of items intended for the children. Many parents insisted on including their children even if they were not eligible, which led to some disorder and minor arguments. Another challenge we faced was related to the participants themselves. Prior to the event, the SK Chairman assured us that everything was already arranged. However, upon arriving at the venue, we discovered that many things were not yet prepared, which caused delays and added stress to the team. It was a learning experience for all of us, and although we managed to push through, the situation taught us the importance of better communication and clearer coordination with our partners and local officials.

In contrast, the second seminar was a completely different experience. Thanks to the guidance and leadership of Ms. Amano, Mr. Almario, Mr. Ariola, and Mr. De Honor, the program went incredibly smoothly. Everything was well-organized, and there were no major issues from beginning to end. I observed that the participants were genuinely attentive throughout the discussion. They were very eager to learn about the topic, and their engagement was evident through their active listening and participation. It was clear that they were truly interested in gaining new knowledge, and that motivated us even more to deliver our best.

Despite all the problems and challenges we encountered during the preparation and the earlier stages of our implementation, the outcome of the second seminar was very fulfilling. The atmosphere was positive, the program flowed without any major hiccups, and in the end, it felt like a true success (thank you sa lahat ng kaibigan ko jan🫵🏻). Seeing the smiles on the participants' faces and knowing that they had learned something valuable made all our efforts and hardships worth it. This whole experience showed us that persistence and good planning really do make a big difference in community engagement.

During our community scanning, we gathered that the most frequent problem in Palanan, Makati was the residents' safety. They said that there are notable instances that people were robbed and the roads lacked street lights.

After discussing the program with the Barangay Captain, I was expecting that our solution would be sustainable. I recommended that those who do not have employment would be supported by the Barangay by giving them an opportunity to have a job and acquire skills necessary to reduce the likeliness of resorting into stealing and other unlawful acts.

Instead, we implemented a Band Aid solution. (I think that it was)

We did not solve the problem.

Instead if implementing a project that will minimize criminal rate, the barangay captain recommended us to just inform and educate the residents of Palanan.

To our and their defense, there is no solution to minimize criminal rates if we don't solve the root of the problem—poverty. The greatest challenge in our country.

Because of this, I am not really looking forward to receive a high grade.

I was dissapointed in myself but believe it or not, I became more true to my own initiatives as a HUMSS student. We must have higher expectations to our stakeholders especially government officials. Because one of the reasons why other people choose to do criminal acts is their lack of basic needs. That basic needs should be given to the people instead of taking advantage of our tax payers.

All in all, I am thankful to my groupmates especially to Vergel Santos III and Shamella Santiago who always had the initiative to help and contribute to our implementation. I am also extending my appreciation to the Barangay Council of Palanan, my teachers Mr. De Honor, Mr. Ariola, and Ms. Cañon who guided us to accomplish our program with the best of our knowledge. Lastly, to the participants that gave their time to attend our seminar even though that it was a Sunday. We are thankful that according to the participants' feedback, our seminar was smooth, informative, and helped you in any way.

We hope that this sparked the importance of the involvement of the constituents to have more sustainable solutions and to attain the needs of the many.

First thing i noticed is that we had a difficult time gathering participants for our implementation. We failed to meet our target audience, which is supposed to be teens or adolescents. We did manage to gather a crowd, but our audience are much younger than expected so we had to divert from our og plan and change our way of storytelling. Although there are things that we did not expect or are out of plan, we still managed to do the program successfully regardless.

During our implementation, the hardest thing we had to do was improvise. such as gathering our crowd which was a much more younger demographic than expected. another hurdle was the delays, which dragged the project slower than expected. but other than that, i am pretty proud that the program was executed successfully/

I observed on the day of our implementation of the novelette we madeabout riot is that not all the children were interested in our story, but there were also children who were interested. The days we spent gathering data were exhausting, but after our implementation, I can say that it was all worth it, especially since we left a lesson for the children to enlighten them and to help lessen the community's issues.

Sabi nga ng aming group,

"Ang tunay na lakas ay hindi nasusukat sa tapang sa gulo, kundi sa tapang na tumalikod sa maling gawain."

thanks to our leaderr, alam mo naman kung sino ka🤣
