My swanky padlet by Robekah Lindsey

It is widely accepted that a true Piscean is in tuned with the world around them. They are most powerful when they put their talents towards a cause greater than themselves and they live their lives searching for new challenges and broader horizons. I; 26 year old Robekah Lindsay is an absolute testament to this fact. Born on February 25th 1990 to proud parents Cheryl Lindsey and the late Robert Tonge; I regard myself as well rounded, kind, helpful, energetic and self driven. I am one who believes strongly in striking that all important balance between work and play. Fun loving and charismatic is how I am described by those who've been blessed by my presence.

My entire educational experience was gained in Montserrat, beginning at the St. Patrick’s Nursery school. After graduating from the Montserrat Secondary School with seven O’ levels in 2007, I was determined to continue my education at the Montserrat Community College and successfully gained an Associate’s Degree in General Studies in 2009. Now pursuing a BSc in Management of Business & Financial Management.

In my spare time you can find me cooking, acting, swimming or dancing.

During my years at college, I was an ardent member of the debating society where I garnered a love for public speaking and developed my skills as a debater. I am passionate about human rights, equality and justice for all and I am not afraid to stand up for the things I believe are right; even if it means going against the crowd. It is fitting therefore that my life long professional goal is to become a qualified Lawyer. Currently however; I am employed by Montserrat Utilities Limited as an Accounts clerk.

My role model although not a Montserratian has played a significant role in me being the person I am today. In 1955, Rosa Parks, stood up for civil rights and justice. I, Robekah Lindsey, find congenial those same principles towards equality and many times I reflect on her act of bravery and aspire to make a difference in everything I do standing for what is right.

I love my country, and am always looking for ways to market its beauty and potential. I consider myself to be an ambassador of Montserrat everywhere I go. I am a former Queen of The Emerald Isle.
