Themes around love and dating were clearly prominent even in the early stages of her career, with her relationships under a microscope.

The use of the word "sham"- creates the sense that her love life is somewhat fraudulent and fake, perhaps implying a lack of authenticity with her relationships, and that they are actually performative aspect of her image.

The question "Who's the Dad?" almost suggesting that it could be anyone, further enhancing this depiction of her as a serial dater.

four years later it still shocked me how iconic this is, even shed tears thinking about what she went through at that time and somehow she's strong enough to turn this into one of her most successful comeback in her career, i'll always gonna be so proud of her :(

• Her image at this point has grown beyond a powerful singer/ songwriter, but now a strong political influence too, once again broadening the layers to her persona, in a way that it hadn't been prior to this. Her powerful image as a popstar, allowed her to develop her image further.

• "...all the time"- could be a reference to her problematic relationship, and disapproval of how she is painted by the press. The fact she has to bounce back "all the time" constructs her as a victim of the images created of her by the press.
