(a) I think the people in the video are quite awed by the art they have witnessed inside the museum. Most are standing in front of the artwork and seem to be scrutinising each art piece, perhaps pondering the implications and meanings behind each of them.

(b) I am more interested in visiting museums than art galleries as I enjoy the subject of history and I do not enjoy art as much. Additionally, I find museums to be full of artifacts and tools of the past that I find to be more engaging as I can wonder the uses and the importance of such items to the people of the past. It also shows me how far we have advanced as humans and keeps me in check to always remain up-to-date. Lastly, most art in most galleries are quite recent and very abstract, being quite difficult for me to interpret the artist's intentions behind the piece. Whereas items of history are quite easy to identify and ponder further of its importance to its past users.

(c) I agree with the statement. Museums and art galleries display the culture and history of their respective countries. This makes it all the more reasonable for their own citizens to be able to visit such areas to find out more about their roots and the struggles and triumphs of their nation. This also goes the same for foreigners visiting, as they would be able to appreciate and understand further the culture and history of the country. However, I also disagree as this money is used to maintain the museum and art galleries, so as to provide the best experience for its visitors. Without this money, these buildings may fall into a state of disrepair and show a wrong impression especially towards foreigners.

The people are taken aback size of the exhibitions.
2) yes i am interested. even if i am not that into art, i still get fascinated when i look at pieces of art drawn by others. museums are a fun place to go as you get to see things you will not normally see in your daily life.
3) i think that people should still have to pay to go to art galleries and museums but the ticket
price will have to be cheaper compared to prices for other attractions. the museum and art gallery staff will need the income from ticket sales to maintain the state of the place and i doubt the public will be nice enough to constantly donate to the museum and galleries.

(a) I would join a dance in the video as it would help keep me healthy. The dance shown in the video looks like zumba; it is a mildly tiring dance routine which targets all muscle groups in a body. This means that dancing zumba regularly would help keep anyone healthy and strong. Hence, i would join a dance like the one showed in the video.
I would not join a dance in the video as it requires many different body movements that can be difficult to remember. These dances are inspired by Latin dance styles that need coordination and rhythm. Hence, it can be challenging to perform. Also, the routine is fast and makes remembering the steps a challenge for me. This can lead to wrong movements that can be risky for my bones and muscles. Therefore i would not join a dance like the one in the video.
I would not join a dance like the one in the video as i find it uninteresting. In my opinion, i perceive being healthy as going to the gym regularly and eating healthy. I would prefer having a jog or to lift weights rather than a dance routine. Hence, i would not join a dance like the one in the video.
b) Exercising is very important to my friends and I because it ensures that our bodies remain healthy. Exercising not only builds muscle in our body to make us stronger, it also increases our stamina. Personally, i would go for runs and gym to exercise. I usually go to the gym to exercise whenever i feel stressed. Sometimes, i would invite my friends to go to the gym with me to exercise and we would push each other to our limits.
c)

a)I would like to join in on a dance like the one in the video as i think that it is a fun way to keep fit and relieve stress. As i am actively moving and grooving to the beat which will help me to have fun matching the rhythm of the song, also helping me to fine a way to forget about my problems and worries as i am able to focus just on the music
I would also like to join in as it will allow me to meet with others face to face.Due to covid-19 alot of in person events where people usually meet and talk to each other have been cancelled, resulting in me lacking social interaction as everything is done through the screen thus these dances will allow me to meet others face to face instead of online and i will get to have a deeper connection with other and be able to have a wider variety of friends that i can relate to.
I would not like to join these dance as they require alot of physical effort i am a person who does not enjoy physical activity so having to put my body through vigorous activity like dancing will not be enjoyable.
B)Doing exercise is important to me as it is one of the ways which i am able to compete with my friends. For example, while doing sports like basketball or football my friends and I would often compete too see who can score the most points or shoot from the furthest distance. This allows us to have fun while creating many memorable experience with each other.
Doing exercise is also important to my friends and I as it allows us to meet up more with each other as we would always meet up in order to do exercise for example like go on a run or to go to the gym this allows us to be able to interact more with each other and have closer bonds as friends.
Doing exercise is not important to my friends and I as it is not a common interest that we share with each other. For example we would much rather play games online instead of do more physical activity

Q1) I think that people in this video feel intrigued by the art exhibition. This is because early in the video there was this group of people pointing at an art exhibit and talking about with great interest and it also seemed like as though they were really curious about that art work.

I also think that the people in this video are feeling impressed by the art exhibition as there were many people that came to take a look at the art work displayed and they were all marvelled by it. Therefore I think that they were feeling impressed by the art exhibition.

Q2) I am interested in visiting art galleries and museums as I have always loved to look at interesting and unique art work. Since I was a kid my family and I would visit the ArtScience Museum at least once every year. At that Museum we would be able to look at the different types of art works that even includes, space exploration types of art work. Looking at these types of different, unique and beautiful art works also made me interested to go to other museum not only in Singapore but also in other countries such as Vietnam.

Q3) I agree with this statement to a small extent. This is because I believe that it is important for people should pay to go to art galleries as it is a form of income for the people that own that gallery and those who work there. Furthermore, by paying to go to Museums it supports the staff there and also provides funds for the research that is being done there. Not only that the money that we give is also used to better improve the facilities provided.

However I do believe that the payment for these museums could he subsidiesed for those of lower income.

(a) I think the people in this video are feeling elated about the art exihibition. The first interviewee of the video stated that he was excited to experience the art exihibition, while seemingly observed to be smiling and energetic( as seen in his restless body movements and facial expressions). It is also seen that there are a groups of people spanning across the museum pointing and scruntinizing the various artworks.

(b) I personally enjoy observing artwork as they seem to be intruiging to observe. Artwork allows us to appreciate the emotions and cultural values that the artist had when they made the artwork, such as the mona lisa, which was made to celebrate the birth of Andrea. I also enjoy visiting museums as I am interested in history, and museums make history come alive, as they contain relics of the past. Museums also contain all of the relics in an organised manner which allows me to appreciate the various structures even more.

I agree as artwork and relics usually does not belong to a single person and is meant for everybody to observe. The purpose of art is to portray the artists emotions and message, usually to a mass of people. Moreover, many classic pieces of artwork that are showcased in museums, belongs to artists who are dead. An example is Hitler's artworks. After Hitler's death, his artwork were stolen by theives and scavengers. The artwork that were retrieved by official companies were sold at auctions, which they do not have permission from to do so. Therefore, nobody rightly owns an artwork if he is not the artist, or if the artist did not personally give him the artwork.

I disagree as money is needed to conserve and protect the artwork and relics. Artworks are open to wear and tear, they are very fragile and must be protected at all costs, as it is hard to recover the original piece of art after it is damaged. On Jan. 22, a woman taking an adult education class at the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art accidentally fell into The Actor, a 105-year-old painting by Pablo Picasso, causing a 6-in. tear in the canvas. Therefore, as museums are usually congested with people, it is very likely for these accidents to happen, which would require artwork to be placed behind glass containers, such as the Mona Lisa.

Clip 1
(a) In the video, I see how the art exhibition is trying to attract more people into visiting it. I see the students who have come to the art exhibition for a school trip being interested in works of art done by people around the continent. This suggests that the students feel excited to be at the art exhibition. There are also about 3000 people who visit the art exhibition daily, which shows that they feel impressed and intrigued by the artworks.
(b) I would be interested in visiting these types of places as I have an interest in art. Ever since I was younger, I would always draw whenever I felt bored. From the video, I see that there are plenty of artworks that can be seen in art galleries, including 3-Dimensional artworks such as sculptures. For example, going to the dinosaur museum allowed me to marvel over the huge skeletal bodies of dinosaurs, who have gone extinct several million years ago. This gave me an interest in Dinosaurs, and I would draw them on my sketchpad whenever I feel like it.
Secondly, visiting a museum helps me learn new things. These things include the history of World War II, and what people had to do to survive. These museums contain many artefacts from the past, ranging from old coins to cultural vases. For example, the Peranakan museum is a popular destination for school trips as students will be able to learn the culture and heritage of Peranakans.
(c) I agree with this statement as anyone should be able to visit the museum whenever they want so they are able to learn more about the past and enjoy the exhibitions there. In the Singapore Museum, there is a wide variety of facilities containing cultural artefacts that are important to our heritage. Hence, people should always be able to visit whenever they want.
However, I also disagree with this statement as the fee for entering the museum is very low, at about 15 dollars as seen in the video. I think that they charge a fee for people to visit so the people working there are able to earn money. Most museums have air-conditioning to ensure the museum is comfortable for everyone. This can be very costly to maintain as the museum is a huge place. Hence, I disagree that people should not pay when going to museums.

I think that the visitors feel impressed by the amazing scenery I think that the visitors feel impressed by the amazing scenery that they see as stated in the video and seen by the impressive look on people's faces. I believe some also feel curious about the painting probably to understand the meaning behind it as seen by the group of children who came. I can see that the paintings really piqued their interest as they were also closely listening to the speaker talking about the paintings
B) I certainly do feel interested in visiting art galleries. Unlike most teen-agers these day I feel like more of the arts area brings me joy. There were even times during art lessons were we could take part in a virtual art gallery and I was really interested in it wanting to learn more about the paintings. Instead of playing video games or watching videos on YouTube or scrolling through Instagram for hours I would prefer to rather develop my general knowledge especially by visiting musuems . There have also been plenty of times where I would beg my parents to bring me to such art galleries or museums . Lastly I believe that the information I gather could be useful just to show off to my friends

c)I completely disagree to a large extent. Those paintings or historical items were not found with ease. A lot of research had to be done and a lot of thought effort and time would definitely be required especially for the art paintings or drawings. Besides, there could be heavy costs for the transportation of historical monuments and by us paying to go to art galleries or museums, a certain percentage of that money can be given to the rightful owner as a reward the deserve for their work. However, I think it should be free for places like musuems because I think learning the history of the country your own or not she be a need and shouldn't be accessible only after give the entrance fee. However since factors like paying the employees maintaining the structure and transportation are in play people should pay if they want enter such areas

I can see a lot of people chatting joyfully and taking pictures of the exhibits, i think they were trying to share with their friends or families about what they had saw and learnt.

b) i am interested in visiting art galleries because I wanted to understand different varieties of art. Art exists in many forms such as music, paintings, sculpture etc. I remember when I was 6 my parents brought me to the national gallery Singapore and I was fascinated by all the exhibits there. It was when I realized that I am interested in art and wanted to discover more about art.

i am also interested in visiting museums because I get to know more about history. I really want to know how people survive in the past and what major events had happened that has led to the modern world. I remember my dad told me that analyzing past events can help one to develop their critical thinking skills.

therefore i am interested in visiting art galleries and museums as i want to know more about different art forms and history.

c) I agree with the statement. Art galleries and museums provide opportunities for foreigners and even locals to understand and know more about a country's culture and traditions. If there were no entrance fees, it will encourage more locals and foreigners to visit the museums and art galleries hence more people can get to learn more about a country.

However, making it free to visit museums and art galleries may affect the atmosphere. When they are free to visit, there will be more people inside areas which means that it will be noisier. Moreover some randoms will just take advantage of the free air conditioned space and stand there not enjoying the exhibits, which also affects the experiences of people that really want to appreciate art.

a) The people in the video looked amazed with the African art exhibition. Schools were invited to visit the art exhibition to educate students with the local art. The students looked very interested with the art. Many tourists and local people can also be seen looking at the art ,and trying to understand their true meanings behind them.

b) Yes I am interested in visiting art galleries . I enjoy looking at other peoples artwork and understanding the stories that led to it being made. Every artwork has a purpose of why it was made in the first place. Some is to convey their feelings that they have in the moment. While others, is to tell their story. It is another way of expressing their feelings and thoughts. I find it amazing how artists use many different techniques to draw out and portray what they want the viewer to see. For example , my primary school had an art exhibition where students can submit their artwork which will be displayed for the school to see. The theme was ' About me'. Students made artworks about who they are or what they think others see in them. There were many different artworks on how they want to portray themselves for people to see. I find it interesting how art can tell a story without words. So I visiting art galleries would be fun.

Artworks can have a lot of historical meaning in them as well. As i enjoy the subject of history, i am interested in visiting art galleries to learn some history. For example, some art works that are displayed in art galleries shows some historical events such as wars. So i am interested in visiting art galleries to learn some history

c) I disagree to a large extent that no one should have to pay to go to art galleries and museums. Art should be something that everyone should enjoy and learn from.

However, i believe that people should pay to go to art galleries. Artists dedicate their lives to art and make it their full time job. Some of these art pieces take years to be completed. Paying an entrance fee shows the artists their appreciation for their hard work. it would be a waste if people could just walk in to see their dedication in their artwork for free. furthermore, not all art pieces are selected to be on display in art galleries. Hence these artworks has to be well deserving to be displayed. So i believe that people should pay to go to art galleries.

1a) I think that the people who involved in the showcasing of the art gallery in this video are feeling excited as there have been great response of 3000 people per day to the art exhibition, and that they are able to showcase their art works that they have sourced from around Africa to show to tourists so that the general public will be able to access and learn more about the cultural and historical facts on the art work's origin.
1b) I am not interested in visiting art galleries and museums as I do not find exhibitions engaging enough and the history of an object is something that I do not think I need to know unless it is intriguing. However, I also think that it is dependent on the theme of the exhibition that draws my attention to it, as when I'm interested in something, I would go out of my way and visit these art galleries and museums. For instance, I visited the Leonardo Da Vinci exhibition at the science centre last year and viewed some the recreated versions of his works. Hence, I think that it is greatly dependent on the theme of the exhibition that would interest me to go to an exhibition.
1c) I agree that no one should have to pay to go to art galleries and museums as i feel that it is a right for people to do what interest them without being limited to their budget as long as it is safe for everyone, so that they can learn more from various exhibitions. For example, the Singapore national museum has free entry for all citizens and permanent residents, allowing residents to learn about the heritage and culture in Singapore.
However I also think that people should have to pay to go to art galleries and museums as there must be a source of income for these art galleries and museums so as to bring in more art works for a more diverse range of creations and to maintain the current state of everything on display together with the costs of the space used to display these items and the staff working there as well. Tourists who visit local museums will be impressed by the different types of exhibitions ongoing in different museums. Especially if the exhibition is of a niche type of item, making it rarer. Thus driving the cost higher, hence, I also think that people have to pay to go to art galleries and museums as well.

(a) I think the people in the video are feeling enthusiastic about the art exhibition. This is because this exhibition allows for tourists to experience a new style of art that would not be accessible to them otherwise. I also think that some people in the video are feeling bitter. This is because many people in South Africa are unable to afford the entrance fees to the museum, and local artists may feel that it is unfair as the art displayed in the museum is done by those who are of higher income, so the local artists who are not as well off as others may feel bitter about the existence of the museum.

(b) I am interested in visiting art galleries and museums. I have always had a fondness for the arts and I find that going to galleries and admiring art works to be somewhat stress relieving. Furthermore, I find that by visiting these museums and galleries, we can also learn to appreciate the artists who have put in so much time and effort to design the artworks, and I find that by allowing ourselves to learn to appreciate artworks, it can also help in making ourselves more well- rounded.

(c) Firstly, I think that people should pay for museums and galleries as it allows for the artists who have made the artworks to earn an income. These artists have dedicated their time and effort to produce an artwork for the public to view and admire, and it is only fair that they earn money every time someone views it in a gallery. Furthermore, being an artist is considered their job, and by allowing them to earn money from the fees that people pay when entering the gallery, they can continue on with their job and earn a living. Therefore, I think that people should pay when people enter museums and galleries.

Secondly, I think that people should pay to enter those museums and art galleries so that the staff at the museum can earn money. This is because the staff working at the museums or galleries, such as the security guards, can earn more money from the fees paid by people who visit them.

However, I also think that people should not need to pay when entering museums and art galleries. This is because I feel that everyone, regardless of their economic status should be able to afford to view artworks, and fees would restrict the people who can view the artworks. This would mean that art is only accessible to upper class people. This is unfair for those who cannot afford to pay for museums. Hence, I think that people should not need to pay for admission to art galleries and museums.

(a) I personally would not join a dance like the one in the video. This is because there are other exercises that I enjoy more than dances like that such as playing sports. For example, I would rather choose to play badminton as a form of exercise than doing dances.
Furthermore, dancing just is not an area of interest for me and I have never had a passion for it despite trying it before when I was younger. Thus, I think that I would just not enjoy the dance exercise.

(b) Exercise is very important to my friends and I as I think that exercise can allow us to ensure that our bodies are healthy. By exercising, not only can we increase our stamina, but also build our immunity so that we can ensure that we do not fall sick easily. For example, by simply doing 30 mins to and hour of exercise a couple of times a week, we can keep up our health and immunity so that should we get sick, our bodies will be strong enough to fight it.

Exercise is also important as it allows us to keep our mental health in check. By exercising, it allows me to relieve any stress or anxieties that I have. I find that exercising, such as running can be therapeutic for me as it allows my brain to take a break from studying. Thus, exercising is very important to my friends and I.

(c) I do agree that more could be done in my country to promote exercise. This is because it is common, especially amongst those in younger age groups to lead a more sedentary lifestyle due to people being addicted to social media. Thus, more could be done to promote exercise to the younger group of people. For example, lesson plans could be taught in school to promote exercise amongst teenagers.

I also disagree that more could be done in my country to promote exercise. This is because as a student, I feel that they promote exercise enough in school through NAPFA and inter-class games for people who are not in sports CCAs. For example, they have inter-class games where students can play sports such as basketball against students from other classes and this helps to promote exercise through sports. Hence, I disagree that more could be done to promote exercise in my country as I feel like they have done enough.

(a) I think that the people in the video felt intrigued by the exhibition. In the video, a group of people can be seen walking around an art piece inside a room, looking at it from different angles. This shows their interest towards the pieces present in the exhibition as these movements indicate curiosity and attentiveness.

(b) Personally, I am interested in visiting art galleries and museums. I find that art galleries allow me to keep up with current affairs in a fun and meaningful way. Visiting exhibitions such as ArtsScience museum allows me to have a clearer picture about how Singapore deals problems such as water shortage and the lack of open land for agriculture without having to read long paragraphs.

However, with the opening of Singapore's borders, there will be an influx in the number of tourists and visitors at certain art galleries and museums in Singapore. Therefore, making these areas very crowded. Hence, I would not visit these museums and galleries. With an increase in the number of visitors, queues to buy tickets and to view certain pieces will definitely become longer. Hence, the thought of waiting in line for very long periods does not interest me.

(c) I think that people should no one should have to pay to go to art galleries and museums. While time and effort is needed to collect art work to display in galleries and museums, I believe that everyone, regardless of their social class, has the right to enjoy art. Exhibition such as the National gallery, allow this as they provide free tickets for Singaporeans and PRs.

However, others may disagree. As I have mentioned, such museums and galleries require time and effort to set up and maintain. Therefore, manpower is required. With people having to pay to go to such places, cleanliness and security is almost guaranteed. Hence, this improves the overall experience of visitors.

Overall, while having an entrance fee to such places will benefit visitors general, certain groups of people such as students should be given discounts to encourage the younger generation to visit art galleries and museums more often. This allows them to learn more about certain things in an interesting way.

(a)I would join a dance like the one in the video as I think I would find it as a refreshing change to my current lightly active lifestyle. Joining this dance would allow me to exercise more so that I can be a healthier person throughout as it engages the muscles while having fun as I like to dance. Joining a mass dance like this would also peer pressure me into doing my best and push my limits further, allowing me to exercise more efficiently in a group setting, which also gives me a chance to bond with others with a similar interest in dance or exercise. Joining this kind of dance would allow me to exercise for a limited amount of time, and as someone who tends to be tight on schedule, it would be easier to fit on my schedule as an allocated time to exercise.

(b)I personally find doing exercise important as it helps to regulate my emotions and keeps me generally calm. I make it a point to run at bedok reservoir every weekend to stay healthy and would only not run when I am sick or too busy. Whenever I feel stressed or overwhelmed, I would go there to walk while to calm down and regain energy. I think it is important for everyone to keep an active lifestyle to lower the risk of various diseases and health issues.
However, sometimes I also think exercise is not as important for my friends and I as exercise would be more exciting when we exercise with friends, but since we have different interests and different levels of importance on exercise, we are not able to exercise as a group, causing exercise to feel more of a chore than benefit.
(c)I agree that more could be done to promote exercise in Singapore as there are limited bicycle paths in Singapore, excluding those in parks, there are limited modes of transport without vehicles in Singapore. The government can continue to build more bicycle path infrastructure to encourage more to use bicycles than vehicles so residents will know how to make use of such infrastructure while exercising. Hence, I agree that there can be more done to promote an exercising culture in Singapore.
I disagree as many activities and schemes have been put in place to promote exercise In Singapore, like the 10000 steps a day challenge to redeem vouchers and giving out fitness trackers to encourage residents to exercise more.hence, I also disapree that there is a need to continue promoting exercise in Singapore.

a) i will never join in a dance like the one in the video. Firstly, i do not really like to dance in the public. In the video they are dancing in the middle of a shopping mall, which to me is a very uncomfortable place to dance at. I remember when I was 10 I was required to dance in front of a group of strangers because my school wanted me to, and i felt very painful for the 10 minutes.

i am also not interested in joining dances like the one in the video because i dont like to dance. Although I like to do exercises, dancing is really not in my area of interest. I remember when I was 8 my mom forced me to join a dance class, the experience was awful as i cant remember any of the steps.

however, i would like to join them as it is a good form of exercise which makes me healthier.

b) it is important to do exercises because it can lead to a healthy lifestyle. Studies have shown that doing exercises daily can help make one healthier. For example it can reduce one's stress, reduce risk of heart diseases, reduce the chance of getting diabetes etc.

It is important to do exercises because it can strengthen one's bond with friends. When you are exercising with your friends, it will make the process less boring and can also develop friendship. I think one way to promote is to add more periods of PE lessons in schools so that students can have more opportunities to work out.

i disagree that more could be done to promote exercise, as the promotions of exercises are more than enough to raise awareness of exercising.

(1) I think the people were amazed by what they saw in the art exhibition. From this video, people that were involved in the art exhibition (artists or visitors) were enjoying the beauty of art. The art exhibition helps to attract people that are interested in art, which provides an opportunity for more people to understand the culture, and even learn from it (as seen from the video where students are visiting the art exhibition).

(2) I am interested in visiting art galleries and museums because firstly art can help to inspire my visual imagination, providing me with ideas and seeing the connection between the art piece and our daily lives. It allows me to think from the artist’s point of view (as in why he created such an art piece). It also provides a learning experience about knowledge of art history, which is valuable in current society.

(3) I agree with the statement. Art galleries and museums are the iconic representation of the history of art. History and Art shouldn’t be used as a tool for people to earn a living, instead it should be used in the form of education. Without the entrance fee for visiting art exhibitions and museums would definitely encourage more locals and tourists to learn more about the country's history and culture. However I disagree as the museums and galleries required a sum of money to maintain its operation. The artist put in their effort to create exquisite artwork, we must show our appreciation of people's effort and not take it for granted.

a) People are inspired by the art exhibitions within the museum. The museum houses African art from all over the continent. Artists and art lovers visiting the exhibitions are inspired by the artworks of African culture. However, others feel indignant due to the location of the art exhibition. The museum is located in a tourist hot spot where only the upper echelons of society can afford housing. This means that most locals are unable to access a museum housing art of their own culture without much inconvenience.

b) I am interested in visiting art galleries and museums. Every art piece has a story to it. From its very creation to the moment that inspired it. It gives me the freedom to ponder upon the thoughts and feelings of the artist that meticulously created it. Artifacts provide a way to peer into a time frame long before the modern era. The very fact that such objects can portray epic battles filled with action or a life led by a humble fisherman awes me.
Art galleries and museums are also an amazing place to visit to escape from the hustle and bustle of life. Such places are often peaceful and expansive, providing you space to rest and reflect. Browsing through the masterpieces of talented artists or ancient artifacts is also soothing and humbling
Finally, those places are educational. Museums show us what we can learn from our past. Art galleries remind us that dedication can lead to something brilliant. Hence, I am interested in visiting such places

c) I agree to a certain extent. Such places of inspiration and culture should be made accessible to all. Hence, entry fees may seem unacceptable. The ability to educate one's self about your own nation's culture and history is a right that should not be priced. As more accessible galleries and museums will foster a strong sense of identity in the people. This gives them reason to continue serving their nation.
However, museums and galleries also require a stable income to continue functioning. The acquisition and transportation of objects of such value comes with a hefty price tag. Museum staff need to be paid. Hence entry fees are justified as they are required to support the museum.

The people there are admiring the art, chatting with friends and taking pictures of the pieces of art. The people there might be trying to figure out the meaning behind the art pieces, which inspired the artist to create it
b) Yes, i would be interested in visiting art galleries and museums. Since young, i have always been fascinated by intricate art pieces; from the paint strokes to the different types of colours used in the piece. Museums and art galleries are also my go-to spots whenever i feel too stressed or when i just want a time-out from the hustle and bustle of life. The quietness, peacefulness and serenity of museums will always have a special place in my heart. Hence, i would like to visit such places.
c) I agree that no one should pay to visit art museums. Everyone should have the right to enjoy looking at artworks without being restricted by an entrance fee. Some people are not able to afford entrance fees for art galleries. Furthermore, if entrance fees are not required to enter art museums, more people would be interested and willing to visit them.
On the other hand, i also agree that people should pay to visit art galleries. This would be likely due to the rarity of artworks being displayed in the museum. If a rare artwork is displayed, more security would be needed to ensure that no sussy activity is going on. The money collected by the fees would also go into the borrowing/renting of the artwork from its original owner in order to showcase in the gallery.

(a) I would join in a dance like one shown in the video. At a very young age, I have always been encouraged by my parents to step outside of my comfort zone. While dancing in public while being watched by dozens of passersby does not appeal to me, I think that this opportunity will allow me to overcome my fears of being very distinct in public. For example, I tend to avoid activities that require me to go on stage or be present around a large number of people. By participating in this dance, I would be more used to the environment and finally overcome this fear.

However, I would not join in a dance like one in the video due to the COVID 19 pandemic. While the pandemic is certainly coming to an end, it is clear that there is a sudden increase in the number of cases as international border reopens. By participating in a dance like one in the video, I am putting myself at risk from contracting the virus and spreading it to my family, causing their lives to be affected. For example, when I joined a mass event a few months ago, I received a Health Risk Warning. This prevented everyone in my household from leaving the house and performing simple tasks like grocery shopping. Thus, I believe that the disadvantages of participating in such dances outweigh its benefits, especially in a time like this.

(b) As a secondary 4 student, exercise is indeed very important. With national exams coming up, many of my friends tend to sit down and revise for long hours. Such actions may result in long term injuries such as back pain. By exercising at least 3 times a week, such injuries can be prevented. On top of that, exercise also improves blood circulation and concentration, allowing students like me, to be more healthier while preparing for the upcoming O level examinations. For example, by participating in PE during school hours, I find that I concentrate and understand certain concepts better in subsequent lessons.

Moreover, exercise is also important as it improves one's mood and prevents mood swings. As teenagers who arae currently undergoing changes to our body, I often experience sudden mood changes that is unexplainable. With consistent exercise, such changes in mood is happens less often. This is caused by the change in levels of chemicals in the human brain. For example, after running, I find it easier to control my emotions. Therefore, exercise is important

(c) Schools in Singapore promote exercise in many different ways. One of which is by implementing 2 1 hour sessions of Physical Education lessons in primary schools, secondary schools and junior colleges. Through this, students are actively encouraged to participate and exercise along with their friends. For example, since primary school, I have always felt the need to participate in PE lessons as all my friends are. Hence, I think that the implementation of Physical Education into school timetables is a way to promote exercise in schools.

On the contrary, most sports co-curricular activities require one to have experience in the particular sport. This prevents interested students with no background experience from pursuing a sport. This results in a decrease in the number of students exercising in 1 week as many rely on school for exercise. As a student in a Uniform Group co-curricular activity myself, I realised that the times i exercise most effectively are during PE lessons in school as I am not in a sport CCA.

While schools do put in noticeable effort to promote exercise, more can be done such as including non-competitive sport CCAs.

a) I think that the people in the video are feeling intrigued. They are walking around slowly, staring at the paintings wondering what message the painter is trying to convey through the painting.

b) I would be interested in visiting the art galleries and museums. Visiting art galleries and museums can teach you about history and the culture of the people in the paintings and from the artifacts. Visiting art galleries can also allow me to see how artists expresses their views and emotions through their art work. Visiting museums can allow me to learn from the past so that I can avoid making mistakes by people from the past.

c) I diagree. Maintance of the art galleries and museums can be costly. Hence payments to enter the art galleries and museums are required to properly maintain the facilities so that artifacts and paintings can be preserved. Additionally, the staff has to be paid as well. Staff are required to acquire different artifacts and paintings so that people would go back to art galleries and museums. Staff members such as cleaners are also required to keep the place clean. Therefore, unless the government is going to pay for all of the staff wages, the people would have to pay to go into art galleries and museums.

(1) I would not join a dance like the one in the video as personally I’m not interested in such exercise. Instead I am more keen on joining vigorous exercise such as Basketball, Volleyball and Badminton. Though joining a mass dance would benefit one's health and broaden our social-circle, it was not my area of interest.

(2) It is important to do exercises as it can lead to a healthy lifestyle that would benefit us in the long run. Studies have shown that exercise daily would help to reduce the risk of getting coronary artery disease, obesity and diabetes. In addition, exercise helps to relieve stress as the body releases dopamine, which would allow one to keep calm and stay focused. This is relatable to our daily lives, where teens have to cope with their academics and cca, and prepare for their national examination. Exercise would help them to stay focused and attentive during lessons, making them study more efficiently.

Exercise with friends could also be an option as it helps to strengthen one’s bond with another. It would make the process less boring and eventually they would cultivate a healthy lifestyle.

(3) I agree that more could be done to promote exercise in Singapore. We are now living in a digitalised world and many people from developed countries are facing health problems. Especially the teens who are addicted to social media are leading to a sedentary lifestyle. I suggest that more physical activity should be implemented in school curriculum. This would help the students to inculcate a habit of a healthy lifestyle which reduces the number of health problems in the country.

However I disagree as the government did promote and encourage Singaporeans to live a healthy lifestyle. Implementations like the ‘daily 10000 steps challenge’ campaign and the ActiveSG facilities are good enough to attract people to exercise. Furthermore, Park Lane Connector (bicycle lane) was built which also provides another option for people to exercise.

a) I would join in such a dance. Such an activity would be a completely new experience to me. It would be interesting to learn a new skill while enjoying myself in the company of others.
This would also be a great way to alleviate stress. Being a form of exercise, it reduces the levels of stress hormones in one's body. This will help one to relax
Finally, it will be a good opportunity to develop character. Dancing in a public space requires a lot of confidence. Dancing with others requires coordination and communication. Hence taking part will help me develop in such areas

b) Exercise is paramount. It keeps us healthy, relieving stress and developing our bodies. Hence, it is important to help us stay fit and in shape.
It is also important as it serves as a time of bonding. When exercising, there are many interactions and conversations. This allows us to form stronger friendships between each other.
Lastly, exercise is enjoyable. Competing for the fastest run within a group of friends can get very interesting.

c) I disagree with the statement. I believe the government has taken sufficient action to promote exercise in my country. The Singaporean government has allocated enough land for exercising in Singapore. They have ensured that every estate has access to a fitness corner or park within walking distance. Encouraging residents to exercise in such accessible areas.
The government has also implemented programmes such as the national steps challenge to promote exercise even more. It rewards participants with items or vouchers for taking a certain amount of steps everyday. This motivates participants to exercise more often to reach requirements.

Exercising can help us keep our bodies fit and health so that we would have a stronger immune system and thus would not fall sick easily. Exercising can also allow us to relieve stress. Teenagers today spend more of their time on their digital devices, therfore they tend to not exercise enough.

(a) Personally, I would never join such events as I have no interest in them. I find these activities to be quite flamboyant and for those who are more on the extroverted side. I prefer more individual activities that does not require people en masse, such as badminton.

(b) It is important for us as exercise keeps us healthy and active, which at a developing age such as 16 would be essential for our growth. Furthermore, being healthy would prevent any unnecessary medical complications that may disrupt other aspects of our lives such as our education. Lastly, it is also important as these activities allow us to bond with each other or with other friends and family, keeping our relationships in check.

(c) I believe that more can be done to promote exercise in my country as most students my age actually lead quite sedentary lifestyles should they not already be engaged in sports-related CCAs. The government could promote exercise through schools which encourages students to share what they learned with those at home. Additionally, as most youths are tech-savvy, they would also be able to influence others online through social media to do the same. However, I also believe that enough has been done to promote exercise in my country, as I see multiple programmes at community centres that are exercise-related. Furthermore, the Physical Education syllabus in schools are also quite extensive, providing students with a wide range of sports and activities for them to try out. Ultimately, it is up to ourselves to start and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

1) Yes I would join in a dance as displayed in the video. This is because I personally like dancing and I have been attending dance classes since I was seven. I feel as though dancing helps me to relieve my stress as I am doing something I enjoy. Another reason as to why I would join dance classes is because, dancing is a good method to loose weight and hence keeping us fit and helping us to lead in a healthy lifestyle.

2) Doing exercise is extremely important for my friends and I. Firstly because it keeps us healthy and a healthy lifestyle keeps us fit and also prevents certain illnesses from affecting us. For example, heart diseases.
Secondly, it is extremely important for my friends and I as it serves as a form of stress relief. By doing exercises it helps to not think about the challenges that we are facing in our everyday life and it helps to clear our minds whenever we feel conflicted about certain things.
Finally, doing exercise is extremely important for my friends and I because it acts as an alternative method to help cure our bad addiction with a better and more healthier addiction.

(a) I think the people are impressed by the art exhibition. When the German tourist was interviewed, he seemed delighted and from his facial expression, we can tell that he had a great time looking at some of the artworks. He seemed to speak highly of the artworks he had seen. Some people also lingered at specific artworks. Overall, I feel that the artwork has sparked a sense of curiosity in these people who appreciate looking at art.

(b) Yes, I am interested in visiting art galleries and museums as they contain exclusive artworks. These kinds of artworks are not sold anywhere and neither can they be seen anywhere else. For example, the artwork I have seen at Singapore's National Gallery is different from the ones shown in the video. I also like reading the artist's backstory and intention behind the artwork as it gives more meaning to it and visitors like me will understand it better and learn to appreciate it more. Secondly, I love the peace and quiet of the museum and art galleries as compared to the bustling city. There is a nice ambiance that allows me to scrutinize each artwork without getting distracted. And lastly, art galleries and museums give a historical insight into the country's past. I enjoy learning history and to learn that through art, is the best of two worlds for me, therefore I am interested in visiting art galleries and museums.

(c) I agree with the statement. I do not think anyone has to pay to share a love for art. Both the artist and the visitor share a common love for art, and I feel that the value of art can never be compared to the value of money. I believe that art should be shared amongst others, and not exclusive to people who are willing to pay to see them.

(a) I think that the people in the video are enjoying themselves in the art exhibition. They seem to be happily chatting with their family and friends while looking at the artwork. Some of them also seem to be very immersed in examining each of the artworks and trying to understand what the artists are trying to convey through their artworks.

(b) I am interested in visiting art galleries and museums because they are not places where I would visit often. I personally love art as I find it a pleasure to look at different artists' artworks and get my inspiration from them. Through their artworks, I am also able to put myself in the shoes of theirs and understand the messages that they are trying to convey to the viewers. This allows me to get new inspirations and ideas, which I can then use in my future artworks.

(c) I agree with the statement. Art galleries and museums are places which display the history and beauty of the artworks of each country. I feel that the locals should not have to pay to go to these places as they have the right to look at their own country's artworks as well as to learn their country's history, such as all the hardships that the country had been through in the past. Furthermore, I believe that without the need to pay to go to these places, more locals and tourists will be keen to visit these places.
However, I also disagree with the statement to a small extent as money is needed to maintain the condition of these places, so that future visitors will be keen to visit them. Moreover, money is required to pay the staffs who work in these places. They are the ones who ensure that visitors can have a pleasant experience while spending their time in these places. Without this money, these places will eventually be in a bad state and will deter future visitors from visiting them.

(a) I think the people in this video are feeling excited and impressed about the exhibition. The people in the video are seen enjoying themselves in the exhibition. Students also willingly go to the art exhibition to see the art being showcased. However, there are some people who feel disappointed when going to the exhibition, as the fee for a hotel room at the hotel just above the museum can cost over $12000 per night. Despite this fact, I think most people feel excited and enthusiastic about the art exhibition.

(b) I am interested in visiting art galleries and museums. Art galleries and museums display many different types of art, whether it is about the past, present, or the future. Through the art being displayed, they give me new perspectives of things. They allow me to reflect my own ideas and impressions of things. I believe that art galleries and museums also help to inspire me in my visual imagination.

(c) I agree to a certain extent. If art galleries and museums are free of charge and people can enter whenever they want, the number of people visiting these places will increase rapidly, thus increasing the popularity of the art galleries and museums, and the artworks that are being showcased. However, if the art galleries and museums are free, there will be a decrease in the number of artworks displayed overtime due to lack of funding. The money given is also needed to support and sustain the art galleries and museums for years to come.

(a) I think the people were passionate about the art exhibition. I can see from the video that they are slowly walking around and taking their time to appreciate each artwork that they see. They looked very serious when they were looking at the artwork showing that they were interested in the artworks.

(b) I am interested in visiting art galleries and museums as I can get inspired by looking at people's art. This is because by looking at the different artworks, I can identify what I like about their art and incorporate it into my own art to form my own individual art style that I like. For example, I remember attending a virtual art exhibition and I came across an artwork that I liked. As I was looking at it I found out that I liked how the artist used different sketching methods to give different textures and effects to the artwork. So, whenever I draw I would try to use the different sketching techniques that I learned in art class. Hence, visiting art galleries and museums inspires and helps me develop my own art style that I like.

(c) I think that we should have to pay to go to art galleries and museums to support the artists and the people working at the museum. By paying, we are providing them a source of income for their work. The artists are paid for their artworks and the staff are paid for their efforts in making sure that the museum is well maintained.

However, I understand why we should not have to pay to go to art galleries and museums as art should be available for everyone to see. Some people are unable to afford to go to art galleries due to their economic status. This restricts them from viewing the art that others who are more well off can see which is unfair to them. Art should available for everyone to view regardless of our circumstances.

Taking a dance class is a great alternative to other aerobic exercises such as running or jogging. Moving to the beat and feeling the music is also very fun.

b)Exercise is very important to my friends and I as I think that exercise can allow us to ensure that our bodies are healthy. Exercise is important as it is an important part of a healthy lifestyle Exercise helps us keep a healthy weight and lower the risk of some diseases.

1. (a) I think the people are quite contented with the exhibits that they have viewed in the museum. Most of them are mesmerised by the artworks and seem keen to know the intent of the artist in designing the artwork

1(b) Yes I am interested in visiting in art galleries and museums. Art galleries and museums are rich in culture and it is interesting for me to visit these places. It is important for me to know about my culture as it is a crucial part of my identity. Furthermore, art is always my cup of tea and I have always been an artsy-fartsy kind of person. I also believe that art is a language of love and the artworks put up on display are the artists way of expressing love to the world. Moreover, visiting museums would allow me to learn more about history. I have always had a penchant for history and the various events that have taken place in the world has always been etched in my mind. by visiting the museums, I would be able to have a deeper understanding of history which would be salutary for myself

1(c) I agree with the above statement. Museums and art galleries are rich in culture and history shaping a person's identity. One should have the freedom to visit these places and experience the culture as a man without culture is like a tree without roots. For international tourists, visiting these places would allow them to experience different cultures and have a deeper understanding. When people are forced to pay a sum of money to enter the facilities, it is a complete injustice for them as they are being deprived of their own culture and history. Hence, I do agree that people should not be required to pay a sum of money to enter art galleries and museums

1(a) No, I would not be interested to join a dance in the video. I am a reticent person in nature and have an averse liking for interacting with people. Therefore, i would be immensely uncomfortable with doing a mass dance with strangers who i do not know. Moreover, dancing has never been my cup of tea. Although it can be a suitable way to ameliorate stress levels, I have always struggled to execute the dance moves and have never seen any benefit of this so dancing like the one in the video would be benign for myself.

1(b) Doing exercise for my friends and myself has always been of utmost importance. We always have an affinity for exercising as it helps to allieviate our stress levels so it is our stress reliever when we get bombarded with school work or have frenetic schedules. Exercising has always been cathartic for my friends and myself so we indulge in exercising especially after having a rough day. Moreover, doing exercise with my friends help promote camaraderie between us. We either go to the field which is a stone's throw away from my house to play football on a weekly basis. Additionally, we also exercise because it would be salutary on our lifestyle. My friends and I are a firm believer in the saying that health is wealth and a way to get healthy is to exercise so exercising has always been important to my friends and me.

1(c) No, I disagree to a large extent that more efforts should be done should promote exercise in Singapore. The Great Singapore Workout was an initiative that was started in order to ensure that Singaporeans keep fit and healthy. Many Singaporeans had participated in this activity on a daily basis and it had been propitious on their lifestyle as they are able to be healthy by exercising. Furthermore, students also have physical education lessons where they exercise on a weekly basis. This ensures that students are able to exercise and some students have also taken up a sport co curricular activity. Although the training can be gruelling at times, they still exercise for a commendable period of time so there are efforts being made which has ensure that people are getting adequate exercise

However, some people still lead sedentary lifestyles due to their frenetic schedules. In Singapore, some people spend their time in a office building staring at a computer screen for the whole day. They may not choose to exercise in their free time so the government can choose to promote exercise for these group of people through incorprating a 30 minute workout session in the office after working hours to help enhance exercising in the country

Our country already does alot to promote exercise in our country. One such example is the national steps challenge， where people are given incentives to reach a goal in exercise. Please observe visual and non-verbal cues/body language to answer the questions. The German tourist was excited, trying hard to describe his feelings in words and his hands constantly moving around. The woman representing the Langa Arts Association wished for a person who set up the art exhibition to go to langa and set up another one there to showcase the works of local artists.the school children look curious of all the artworks seen in the art exhibition ,looking around and point at artworks they appreciate, sharing it with their friends.

(b) Are you interested in visiting art galleries and museums? Why, or why not?

State 3 reasons why and why not. Use P.E.E.L to answer the question.

I am interested in visiting the art galleries and museums as it tells much about one’s culture. It allows us to know more about one’s culture where we understand how the locals see their own culture and understand their own culture. It also allows us to see the change in time. For example, the art museum in shanghai shows a digital version of the qingmingshanghetu which shows how life was at that point of time with people trading farming and many more. This allows us to know more of the history and background of this piece of artwork. It also shows the way of life of people that even now, many years later, we are able to appreciate. This, i am interested in visiting art galleries and museums.

(c) Some people say that no one should have to pay to go to art galleries and museums. What do you think? State 2 reasons you agree and why you disagree. Use P.E.E.L to answer the question.

I do not agree that no one should have to pay to go to art galleries and museums as i think that people that do art and the museums also have to spend money for survival. If there is no entrance fee, the museum will not be able to buy artworks and artists are unable to buy art materials to create art and eat, there will no longer be many artworks that are astonishing as it is a hobby that only the rich can afford. For example, Vincent van goh was not popular in the early days of his art. He was only popular after his death. If all artists were to be rich and earn money only after they die, they will not be able to afford even the simplest survival.

(a) No, I don't think I would want to join in a dance like the one in the video as I personally feel that I am a clumsy person and if I were to dance with a group of people, I'm afraid that I will stumble on my feet or accidentally step on their toes. Secondly, I find myself to be an inflexible person so I don't think I can twist my hips like the ladies in the video, and lastly, I am not comfortable with dancing in public.

(b) Exercise can be a fun way to bond between my friends and me. We can turn any form of exercise into a competition and reward ourselves afterwards. For example, my friend and I used to run at the park near our houses and after completing our rounds, we rewarded ourselves by treating ourselves to a snack. I feel that exercising is much more enjoyable when done with our friends. It also allows us to motivate one another to not give up. Whenever we need to take a break from studying, instead of spending time in front of electronic devices, we can productively spend this break by exercising. Furthermore, exercising outside allows me to have some fresh air, clearing my mind before I study again.

(c) I agree that more could be done to promote exercise in Singapore. As a student, I feel that most of us live a sedentary lifestyle as we are usually at our desks trying to finish assignments on time. We use the excuse of not having enough time to exercise on a weekly basis. However, I disagree as schools try to incorporate physical activities. Other than the physical education periods, there are events such as Sports Day and Learning Beyond the Classroom week where students get to participate in inter-class games for people who are not in a sports CCA. Therefore, I disagree with the statement.

(a) I think there are some contradictions in others' opinions and feelings towards the exhibition. There are some artists and art critics who say that building a museum at that place is making the museum less inclusive. However the Minister of tourism has said that it is one of the best places so that art can be more exposed. There are many tourists in the video, expressing their interest in the artworks. The students who are at the museum are also very interested as they listen to the tour guides explaining the artworks to them.

(b) I am interested in visiting art galleries, as I feel like I can understand different cultures, traditions, histories and religions when I visit art galleries as such in the video. I have visited the Singapore Art Museum on many occasions, sometimes to do projects relating to the exhibitions. On other occasions, leisurely to look at the new exhibitions as well as revisit other artworks. I feel that by going to the museum and visiting different exhibitions, I can understand more about Singapore's culture and history through a different medium, art, instead of just for the sake of academics and have a different perspective of our history.

(c) I agree with this statement, since everyone should be given a chance to be allowed to explore the art galleries without any fees. For example, the Singapore Art Museum has free admissions for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents, thus allowing us to have a chance to enjoy and admire different artworks and exhibitions. Schools also have projects based on certain projects, allowing students to learn more about the exhibition. I remember during lower secondary, there was a project that was about artworks about Singapore. Thus my group mates and I decided to use the artworks displayed at the exhibitions from the Singapore Art Museum. From this project, i experienced the wide variety and range of artworks that are displayed there with different yet significant meanings behind them.

I would like to join the dance, since it is a fun way to exercise and workout. This dance can be done with family and friends thus making this a more interesting exercise. This dance may also let me step out of my comfort zone and try out new things. Since this dance fitness workout will be carried out in public, at a mall this will allow others to see the workout. Thus I feel that I would normally reject the idea of doing such things, however I thought that it would be a good idea to give it a try. Not only that, participating in this activity also allows me to be able to learn more about Latin culture, such as their music and dance. Since I am always interested in learning about others culture, i think that this is one of the more refreshing way to explore one’s culture rather than just reading books and learning about other culture just from school but instead by myself with a more enjoyable and exciting method.

Exercise is very important to me and my friends. Due to the pressure and stress from school, exercising and working out is a great stress reliever for us, not only that it is also very healthy and allows us to keep in shape. Every weekend morning, I would always go for a run near my house at bedok reservoir, and my friend would also meet up with me to join me for my morning run. This has become a routine for both of us, and through this exercise it allows us to destress as we enjoy the morning breeze and the nature around us. Whenever my parents are free, we would also cycle together as a family, as this is a great and healthy way for us to bond. As we cycle leisurely, we would catch up with each other about our weeks, since we are all busy on the weekdays, be it due to school or work. We barely see each other during the weekdays, thus cycling on the weekends allows us to talk and bond with each other.

I disagree with the statement since I feel that Singapore has put in a lot of effort to promote exercise. The Singapore government created activesg to encourage Singaporeans to exercise more. They have a lot of information about different sports facilities that allow us to be more informed and encourage us to exercise more, and make it more convenient for us to exercise. The activesg app also has a free $100 credit for students, allowing us to be encouraged to sign up for gyms or go to the sports facilities. The Health Promotion Board has also created the Healthy 365 to encourage Singaporeans to exercise. There is a free watch given where it records the steps one takes and gifts and vouchers will be given out when one takes 10000 steps in a day. Thus i disagree with the statement since i feel that Singapore is promoting exercise to Singaporeans and have put in a lot of effort in it.

(a)I would not ever join in a dance like the one in the video. I am not a good dancer. The dance required people to move in both elegance and grace, which requires much practice with agility. However, I seem to be too lazy to bother learning the dance, and I do not think I am agile enough to keep up with the dancers or synchronise with them.
On the other hand, dancing is a form of exercise. This is perfectly suitable for my sedentary lifestyle. It would not hurt to stretch my body muscles once in a while, and the dance in the video seem to require people to stretch their bodies. This dance may prove to be healthy for me, which I may consider to do so once in a while whenever I have excess time to spend.

(b)Doing exercise is very important for my friends and I. As students, we spend much time(about 7 hours) sitting in our
classrooms. Even after dismissal, we may spend additional time sitting down to complete our homework. This causes us to be inactive, which may lead to an unhealthy lifestyle. An unhealthy lifestyle would result in a weak immune system, which may induce diseases which cause us to fall sick much more easily. Thus, exercise is a prominent way for us to avert the symptoms of an unhealthy lifestyle, and put our bodies to work, such that we may develop a stronger immune system to lead a healthier lifestyle. Thus, exercise is important for our health, and must be done on a diurnal basis. Exercise also serves as a form of entertainment. Sports are widely associated with exercise, as a result of how strenous the majority of them are. Sports are entertaining as they are games that require physical movements and practice. Sports such as basketball would require muscle training at both the legs and hands. This can serve as entertainment, while we practice sports, and it is considered to be exercising at the same time. Exercise also teaches us values, such as responsibility and commitment, to look after our own bodies, as exercise is a choice, it is not mandatory.
(c) I agree that more could be done to promote exercise in my country. There seems to be a lack of physical education classes on the timetables of schools. Basketball courts are mainly poorly maintained, which may result is destroyed basketball hoops and rims, while there is a lack of land for sports which require large amounts of land, such as soccer or golf. These sports would usually require money or payment, which would drastically reduce accessibilty to these sports, demotivating people from exercising. Thus, I feel that much more attention can be paid to the maintainence of courts, and more allocations of land for different sports, as different people are interested in different sports, which could in turn promote exercise in my country.

On the other hand I believe that my country has done much to motivate people to exercise, such as posters and schemes, especially large scale events to encourage people to exercise, such as carnivals. Moreover, my country has ascertained that we understand the consequences of not exercising, and the benefits of exercising. This may give the people the drive to begin, or keep exercising if they are already doing so.

(a) I would never join in a dance like the one in the video as I don't feel comfortable dancing with other people. I am afraid of people seeing me dance and messing up. I also think that the dance is embarrassing as old people usually join in this kind of dance. It would feel weird and awkward to dance together with people who are much older than me.

(b) Doing exercise is very important for me and my friends as it will help us strengthen our immune system. By strengthening our immune system, we won't get sick often and we will prevent ourselves from developing health problems in the future. Exercising is also important for us as we will be able to focus and concentrate better. This benefits us as we can focus better during lessons and learn more efficiently. This may improve our studies and performance during exams which can lead to better grades.

(c) I agree that more could be done to promote exercise in our country as there is a lack of time allocated for physical education in schools. Schools usually have an average of two days a week of physical education which is too short for students. According to research, it is recommended that students should exercise at least one hour a day. So, our country could do more to promote exercise as students lack the recommended amount of exercise everyday.

However, I also disagree that more could be done to promote exercise in our country as there is sufficient equipment provided for exercising at many parks. Most parks in Singapore have equipment that helps us to exercise. For example, one of the equipment helps you to train your legs by causing it to move in a circular motion like riding a bicycle. Hence, I disagree that more can be done to promote exercise in our country.

a. I would not join in a dance like the one in the video. Firstly, I do not have the confidence to dance in front of many people in a public space. I would prefer to dance somewhere more private or secluded from others. For example, going to a dance studio where the rooms are only accessible to me and the instructor, so I would not feel embarrassed if I make a mistake or have trouble keeping up. Hence, I would not join a dance like the one in the video because of my lack of confidence to dance in public areas in front of others.

b. Doing exercise is important to my friends and I because it is a way for me to keep fit and in good health. Exercise allows me to keep myself mentally healthy, I am able to relieve stress that I have built up. For example, running long distances can be quite healing for my mind. When running, it allows me to take a break from the stress of studies and current-occurring problems. Hence, I think that exercising is important. Doing exercise is also important because it helps with fostering stronger bonds with friends. For example, when exercising together with friends, it will be more fun and we can push each other to not give up and continue even when exercising gets tiring and boring. Thus, doing exercise is important for both my friends and I because it allows us to be able to appreciate each other's company and develop the friendship even further.

c.
