My point of view was confirmed as well as complicated. For the first question, my point was confirmed, even though there were opposing sides, because I felt that I justified my point by explaining how the truth and a lie can blend together, and make a gray area, which was a part of most of my classmates' arguments, in some way. For the second question, my beliefs were complicated, because there were strong pieces of evidence from both sides about the government's involvement with too many personal things, but also the need for the government's need to survey public situations.

My point of view was challenged because referring back to the question about the government spying on us it made one side of me think it's unsafe for the government to spy but the other side of me though we'll it might be good for the kids that are being hurt at home to be looked after sometimes and watched to makemail sure they are doing okay and things like that may prevent young suicides in kids. For the first question it made me think that if I know someone is lying I still shouldn't believe them.

My point of view became complicated when we talked about telling a tie. Mrs. Pagano's example about the media made me think differently. I realized that different trends, whether it be fashion or skin care, are set sometimes based upon a lie. I still do believe that no matter what a lie will always be a lie, but it becomes a bigger lie that other's fell for, like the placebo effect.

My viewpoint on the government spying has become complicated. In public areas, it is understandable why there are surveillance cameras, but in one's private home the country should not spy on citizens because it is unethical. I only believe people that are a threat to the safety of others should be suprives, but there must be evidence involved.

My point of view was challenged dealing with the first question, after examples and evidence was given, such as media (with the shoes and other products). My first reaction was to disagree, which I realized I could have agreed after that specific example was given
