My name is Dan Ruffo and I teach Kindergarten at Longwood Elementary in Naperville, IL. I am taking this course as the third in the Tech Endorsement sequence at St. Francis. I have access to 20 laptops and 6 iPads in my classroom. We don't have a computer lab in our school but we do have a Creation Station! I utilize a Smartboard everyday while teaching and a lot of my administrative work is done using google drive (and a little of google apps for education/G Suite) . I probably have a comfort level of a 7 in technology but I feel I have been missing out on what has been occurring in the education world since I began teaching in the primary grades eight years ago. Hopefully these courses can help me fill in multi-media/technology knowledge gaps. On a personal note, I play guitar and have 3 adult children.

Dan thanks for sharing. You can never go wrong with using GAFE tools for educational purposes. I have never had the opportunity to use a Smartboard, but my wife loves to use her in her classroom. Since you don't have computer labs, has your school considered becoming a 1:1 school with technology?
