An educational intervention using a shovel to plant, seed, grow fruits and plants. It includes family participation, an audiobook, an the presence of famous Arciboldo to model designs/sculptures with fruits and plants.

Leonardo Da Vinci comes to life to teach the children how to design (on the sand).

The children will be invited to scan their best designs with an App to animate their creations and share them.

Ages 5-7

With a guitar and Mark Knopfler as guest,celebrity, the teacher will invite their children to sing and dance to share a terrestrial experience. They will learn language and enter in contact through the beautiful music.

Most importantly, we collaborate with others and create a nice fabric using the threads of our ideas. This fabric is something different and has the potential to bring solutions to our practise!

In ECEC, this means dealing with a profession that is not well considered. ECEC means only "care," and the transitions to the schooling system are not well prepared in most countries.

Children are mostly unprepared for what they will find in primary school, but this is also due to the fact that the schooling system imposes traditional methods, where sometimes the ECEC system is much more creative (for example, Italy, Bulgaria). An exception should be made for the Scandinavian countries (Denmark and Finland represented), for active methods adopted in ECEC go on in the schooling system.

The use of technologies is crucial for the ECEC system because children will grow up in a world where artificial intelligence, robots, augmented reality, and virtual reality are all commonplace. Nonetheless, it is also relevant to consider the use of the senses and body language to cultivate love for nature and the outside world. With no art or outdoor education, we might limit human intelligence in the future.

Studies support that the child must interact with the world, and ECEC is one of the first places where this must happen.

Eventhough, the possibility of using digital and AI-driven technologies to support the educators' work needs careful consideration and space. This could be part of forms of professionalisation (better pedagogical documentation and data collection upon the child development).

Challenges in ECEC relate to cultural integration and the recognition of its relevance. There are minorities that do not accept ECEC and stick to the model of children at home till primary school. But there are also other realities where the child will be just "left" in ECEC mostly for care, not for education. In this regard, educating parents (with ECEC staff becoming also adults educators) appears crucial.
