Most of the myths we know today were preserved in oral ways, passed on by word from generation to generation. Written recordings of myths started in the 19th century when historians and explorers became interested in the stories which native people had and their traditions.

Due to the myths being passed from word to word, different versions of the stories came to existence. People from different regions had a version of the story, meanwhile people from another region had a different version from that one. This was very common due to language barriers and how storytellers told the story.

Hinduism has lots of gods for almost every single thing in existence, such as for each type of weather or different foods. All these gods influence Hinduism and the connection people from India has with the religion.

In this first period I was able to learn the most basic concepts of mythology and be able to apply them into the creation of my own myth. This first period was the base of all the definitons and information that I would use at the rest of the class.

This second period I was able to emphazise at deeper and more meaningful concepts of myths, such as the hero's journey. Which would be the base of the creation of my evidence of this class. Not only did I learn about the steps of the hero's joruney, but also how to identify them in stories and even movies. Each characteristic and specific piece of information of each step.

At this last period I was able to learn about the existence of different rites of passage, specifically about the cremation and burning ship ritual, which belongs to different cultures. I was able to dig deeper into the meaning of death and how this changes our way of thinking. At this last period I did my final advance aswell as my evidence for this class, in which I emphazised in the story of my life and my start of college while following the steps of the hero's journey.
