After completing the whole course, I would say that all the objectives of my projects are successfully fulfilled.

 

The thing that I enjoyed the most is when I have revision sessions with my friends. There are three friends of mine who also joined this program. During weekend, we will take some time to revise and practice the knowledge we have learned. It wasn't about to be serious and intense all the time while learning but with the presence of my friends, it became more fun and interesting.

 

For me, nothing was so challenging throughout the course of this project. I am very thankful and feel blessed as all the things are going so smoothly.

 

In my humble view, currently I am able to improve myself such as by correcting the way of taking ablution and doing the true pillars of prayer. I also understand better regarding the Islamic knowledge through the core beliefs of Ahli Sunnah Wal Jama’ah.

 

In this pandemic state, I believe that some teaching are being restricted that cause the contents of knowledge cannot be provided as what it could be. I would like to have more classes which is run face to face and hopes that this pandemic will get better sooner, In Shaa Allah.

The objectives of my project is to 1) learn about talaqqi and sanad system, 2) enhance knowledge about tajweed rules in the al-Quran, 3) master in pronunciation of the Arabic letters and 4) complete 30 juz and receive the sanad. All of the objectives are fulfilled except for the last one as it requires more than 4 weeks to complete the 30 juz. 

 

I truly enjoyed myself throughout the process of this project but the moment that I liked the most was when I read the last ayat in the last juz. The feeling when I finally completed the whole al-Quran, 30 juz, 114 surah in the sanad system was indescribable. It was a long process and required a lot of patience. Receiving sanad Al-Quran has also been my dream since long ago making it more meaningful. 

 

What I found most challenging would be to complete all the 30 juz with sanad. If the common method of learning al-Quran is the student reads the al-Quran and the teacher will correct when he/she makes a mistake, but in a sanad way, the teacher must first read the whole page followed by the student reading the same page all over again. When we complete 1 juz, the time spent is as if a person completed 2 juz. Despite the challenge, spending time on something like this is never a waste.

 

One thing that I think really worked is I have become more fluent in reciting al-Quran. When I first started the course, I had to reread quite a number of times but as time progressed, it slowly decreased. Now, although it is not 100% perfect, but I think it has become better than before.

 

In this project, while I was studying Al-Quran with my teacher, sometimes I wish I could understand what I am reading. Apart from brushing up my reading technique, in the future I hope to explore classic Arabic language or learning tafsir. With that, I don't only can read the al-Quran but can learn and appreciate the meaning as well.

Alhamdulillah. Personally, I think the objectives of the program have been successfully achieved. We have gained more from this course even in just a month.

There are many things I love about this program. What I like the most are the classes with Ustaz and Ustazah. 

Throughout the program, everything went smoothly. Alhamdulillah. Maybe it's just internet interruptions that happen sometimes. However, it is okay because the organizers provide recordings for participants who have troubles during the class.

Everything went as planned. We were able to finish the syllabus despite the need for some extra classes. I was also able to make my notes for future use and revision. My friends(who also join the same program) and I had the opportunity to have some more relaxed discussion sessions after class.

This course was originally conducted face-to-face. Hence, things that need to be demonstrated such as tayammum, ablution, and so on will be shown by Ustaz dan Ustazah. However, due to the current pandemic situation, the class had to be conducted online. In terms of online, there may be a need for a more stable internet connection so that classes are smoother and there are no misunderstandings in the delivery of knowledge.

The thing that I enjoyed the most about the project is learning and revising together with the speakers along with my friends. 

Honestly, since this project was conducted online, I found that the connection can sometimes be challenging. Sometimes the audio or the video itself can be lag making it difficult to catch some words, explanations and demonstrations made by the speakers. 

Everything has really worked well, from the syllabus, the speakers, the knowledge gained and this project's time management. As a result, we manage to complete all syllabus with great explanations within the time provided. So, from my point of view, this project worked successfully!

What can be improved in this project?
As the thing that I found challenging was the internet connection, I figure out that the connection can be improved more to ensure the quality of knowledge gained. Apart from that, I think everyone can agree that it would be nice if it can be done face-to-face instead of virtually on an online project. Nevertheless, there will be some things that can only be gained and entirely understood by demonstration if it comes with practices later on.

Alhamdulillah, the objectives of my ITS project was fulfilled. I had three objectives and had achieved them through this course. 

I enjoyed the moment when i understand things that i have learned and i was able to do some videos and writing every week in my padlet. I liked reading the discussion part where people summarizes and share thoughts on what they understand about the topics. 

Alhamdulillah, everything went well. It was not really a problem, but reading through a bigger scripts were challenging for me especially when there are words or sentences that i don’t really understand or know the meaning. So, I need to search on the meanings of the words and all. 

I am blessed as things worked well for the project. I managed to read some translations of the Quran.

I thought that a class with ustaz or ustazah directly would be better to improve my learnings progress.

Assalamualaikum and Hi everyone!

Were the objectives of the project fulfilled?
Alhamdulillah, I was able to fullfill all the objectives for my EP. I think I got more benefits than the objectives listed in this posting.

What I most enjoyed/liked about the project
I am so happy for this project as I was able to complete my fardhu ain with my friends. This programme also benefits me in term of i can revise back everythings that i had forgotten from what i learnt before. Other than that, I also had chances to do some revision sessions with my friends which we shared what we got from the programme.

What I found most challenging about this project?
The most challenging part for me in this EP is during the first 2 weeks, where it clashed with our end of postings exams. Otherwise, everything were great and i enjoyed almost all the time during the EP.

What has worked?
I learned a lot throughout the programme. Ustaz and ustazah explained everything well so that I can understand each of the topics presented. They also provide QnA sessions at the end of every class to make sure everyone can catch up with the subjects. I was also able to make notes and improve my note-taking skills by joting everything faster, during the sessions.

What can be improved in this project?
This programme was extended for about 2 days from the expected date as there were some of topics from fiqh which did not completed. Therefore, i think that the programme need more time so that we can focus more on every topics. Other than that, due to pandemic, this programme was conducted online. It will be nicer if we can join this programme face to face. Otherwise, I really enjoy this EP so much!

Absolutely yes. I learnt and practiced basic lettering throughout the journey and gained knowledge on what were  the tools needed. Other than that, I also developed a greater understanding and appreciation on khat calligraphy. Furthermore, it was so enjoyable and calming. 

 

The most enjoyable part is gaining the knowledge itself. I have never thought that I will be learning khat calligraphy in my entire life. This is the best opportunity ever. 

 

The most challenging part was during the first week as I was still new and fresh. I need to put extra work and time to be on the right track. 

 

My aim was actually to gain the knowledge while meditating. I think learning calligraphy truly gives calmness and relaxing myself physically and mentally. That was the part that worked most. 

 

It will be much better if I got more time to explore more. 1 month was not enough to master khat calligraphy putting me a bit pressure to quickly cover all the lessons.

Yes I believe I managed to achieve my objectives which are:

I felt really happy whenever I finish a drawing that I’m proud of. Thanks to my learning throughout this project, my art has improved drastically which made me feel satisfied.  Getting compliments for my drawing also boosted my confidence to continue to improve and grow.

In the beginning, I struggled to get accustomed to the drawing app Procreate. It’s a really complicated app with so many features and functions that made me feel overwhelmed at first. But as I continued to use it to practice, I managed to get the hang of it and now, I’m able to create art pieces that I’m proud of.

Other than that, I was quite nervous starting an Instagram account to post my art. It made me doubt myself whether people would ridicule my attempts to draw but fortunately my friends were really supportive. It made me relief and boosted my confidence more to continue to improve.

Sometimes when I’m drawing, there were times where everything I did felt like a failure. But I learned that getting some rest to clear your mind and start fresh the next day always helps me to overcome artblocks. Asking for others’ opinions also help improved my art which gives me a new perspective from how others view it. 

There are still plenty of rooms for me to further improve my art. But for now, after 4 weeks of this project, I believe I will be able to make a more detailed and beautiful art in the future. I just need to take one step at a time.
