Escaping the Giant Wave is about a boy named Kyle who went on a vacation with his family to the Oregon Coast. A tsunami and an earthquake hit the town where they were visiting and Kyle wanted to make sure his family was safe. However, he ran into some issues while trying to save his "friend" Daren, who was always mean to him. Kyle eventually managed to save himself, his sister and help Daren, as well as be reunited with his parents. Because of Anya is about a girl named Anya who has a disease called alopecia areata. Because of that disease she has no hair and has to wear a wig. No one knows about her disease. One day after Christmas break Anya has to wear a headband to keep her wig in place for gymnastics in gym. The headband holds her wig in fine, but at the end of gym Anya's wig falls off in front of the whole class. But someone is making sure that he will miss the shot or he will go out of business. Eddie must train for the shot his mom lost her job. If he misses he will still have no money.

Claudia and Jamie wanted to run away from home but, they want to run to somewhere. So they ran away to the Metropolitan Museum off art.Then, they found this statue called "Angel" and wanted to find out who did it. So, they decided to go to Mrs. Basil E. Frankweilers house, because she sold the statue to the museum. Mrs.Basil E. Frankweiler gave Claudia and Jamie an hour to try and find the file on the statue and they did and they found out Michelangelo. Claudia and Jamie all ready knew that the museum staff said that they thought that Michelangelo did the statue but, they wanted to know for sure. Claudia wanted to run away from home she deiced to run away to the metropolitan museum of art she wanted Jamie  to tag along.How they got there was Claudia found a bus ticket to go with Jamie they slept and hid there.but then they wanted to solve a mystery they wanted to know if Michelangelo made angel. So how they figured it out was they went all the way to Mrs. basil E. frankweilers house who sold angel to the museum.First Claudia and Jamie had to look in all the files to find out if Michelangelo made it they got the file and they found he did make angel. They called mom a limo drived them home and they found the mystery of the mixed up files.

Dan were sitting on the couch. The news was reporting that there was going to be a tornado warning. Dan's mom was going to go check on there neighbor Mrs. Smiley so that she would be safe if a tornado was going to come. While Dan's mom was gone a tornado happened.  Dan had to grab baby Ryan out of his crib and go hide in the bathroom. Dan Arthur and baby Ryan were all still alive. The bad thing was that Dan's mom was not home yet.Then Arthur Dan and Arthur's sister Stacey were at a police station. In the million dollar shot, a boy named Eddie Ball wanted to enter a contest . But, to get in the contest he had to write a poem about a company called Finkle which was the company that sponsored the contest. The kid with the best poem would get to shoot a foul shot at halftime of  the NBA finals . If the shot was made, that kid would take home $.1,000,000 . When Eddie found out that he won the contest and the rest of the world, Eddie was now known as a celeberty! When Eddie's neighbor Annie and Mr. Stokley found out about the shot, Mr. Stokley  wanted to coach Eddie.

It all starts out, Dan and Arthur  have a fun day at a craft class and at a state park.Later they ride their bikes home and Dan notices  signs that the weather is changing. Next a line of 7 tornados hits with a hail storm triggering it.Stacey, Arthur's sister finds them and Dan finds his mom too.While they are driving to the police station they get caught in another twister.All their  friends and family survive the twister and Dan and his family get reunited.

The homeroom teacher, Mrs. Hobson tells the class the disease that Anya has and Keely wanted to go out of her way to make Anya feel better and she cuts her long hair short and donates it to Anya to make a wig for Anya.
