Edgar allan poe’s poem “The Raven” is about a man who is experiencing grief after losing someone he loved named Lenore, when a raven came into his room and kept on saying  “Nevermore” it reminds him that Lenore is gone forever. The poem shows how grief can make people feel hopeless and stuck in their own sadness. I think it’s powerful because the raven feels almost like the man’s own thoughts speaking back to him. It made me realize how hard it can be to let go of the past and how sometimes our minds/hearts make us hold on to pain.

During the Coronavirus pandemic, my life changed a lot. I stayed at home with my family, and we could not travel. I felt sad, confused, and bored because life became quiet and strange. It was very hard to understand why everything stopped so suddenly, and I never imagined that one event could change the world and my life at the same time.

Before Corona, my family and I traveled many times. But during Corona, everything stopped. The streets were empty, the house was quiet, and I felt bored. I missed traveling so much, and I also missed seeing new places, meeting new people, and feeling the excitement of adventure. Every day felt the same, and I started to realize how much I had taken normal life for granted.

After Corona ended, my little brother had grown up. He was born during the pandemic, and he never traveled. We decided to take him on a trip. I felt excited and happy to see him laugh and enjoy new places. It was special to watch him experience things for the first time, like riding on a plane, visiting new cities, and discovering new food. These moments made me appreciate family trips more than ever before.
