"When you wake up in a strange place and wonder where in the world you are"

Page 68 - This is important to the story because, in my opinion, it hints at something bigger. It hints at the idea of being displaced in a way that they don't know where they are. This is a physical displacement but it also talks about the mental displacement that Ponyboy feels when he looks at the Socs.

Page 69 - This is important because it shows the reader a look into Ponyboy's personal life and mind. It shows the reader that Ponyboy is a sensitive person and that he is still a kid in the way that his mind becomes very imaginative and wild.

Page 70 - This is important because it builds suspense in the way that it tells the reader that, except for Dally, Ponyboy and Johnny are alone out in the world, and no one was there to protect them now.

Page 71 - This is important because it shows you the character of Ponyboy. It says in the next few sentences that it was his pride. this shows a sense of identity of Ponyboy and the pride he feels in being a "greaser".

Page 88 - This is important because it shows the character of Johnny. In the time where we first met Johnny he seemed so quiet but we never really got to know him. This shows that Johnny really cares about his friends and family, and that can let people relate to him and connect on a deeper level.

Page 95 - This is important because it shows a sense of character. It tells the reader the image that the "greasers" have of themselves, and that they, as much as they're proud, read into the stereotypes placed around them and how they feel.
