Even though he was the main protagonist, I felt sorry for him on a level higher than I did for Troy. Cory obviously thought, and pretty much already knew, that the former wouldn't get him anywhere in life. Troy wanted Cory to know that it's either his way or the highway, and Cory obviously chose the highway and decided to play football, but he didn't get to fully achieve his dream because he was kicked out of the house. According to Cory, he took the right path, but according to Troy, he took the wrong path.
