  • Applications: NSNA membership and SNA membership (+$25 one time fee)
  •  Fundraising: 2 hours each level 
  • Philanthropy: 2 hours each level 
Active Membership:  
  • Students enrolled in a state approved program that leads to a licensure as a registered nurse. 
  • Registered nurses enrolled in programs leading to a baccalaureate degree with a major in nursing. 
  • Active members shall have all of the privileges of the membership. 

Honor Cord Requirements:
1. SEMESTER REQUIREMENTS
   - Members must attend a minimum of 4 regularly scheduled UNMSNA meetings per semester.
   - Members must attend 2 hours of a UNMSNA approved philanthropy opportunity per semester.

2. Members must be current NSNA members.
   - Members must participate in one UNMSNA fundraiser per semester.

3. Honors cords will be provided free of charge to the UNMSNA members that meet the requirements.
   - Active members must meet minimum requirements three out of five semesters.
   - Active members who started as pre-nursing members, and paid NSNA dues as a pre-nursing member, must meet minimum requirements for one pre-nursing semester, and two out of four active nursing school semesters.
   - Members active five out of five semesters will receive two honor cords at the time of graduation
