The government of United States of America consists of three main branches. They are the executive, the legislative and the judicial branches.The legislative branch is led by Congress and consists of the Senate and the House of Representatives. Congress is responsible for making laws and overseeing government actions.The executive branch is headed by the president and includes the vice President and members of the Cabinet. The president is the country's top executive officer, responsible for implementing laws and policies. The judicial branch consists of the federal court system, and the Supreme Court is the highest body of the judicial branch.These three departments will separate the legislative, judicial and executive powers and check each other to prevent the government from abusing its power.
