One takeaway from reading the article is that the community spirit in Hong Kong is very strong, and even during hard times like this fire they can still come together to help one another out.

If I were to be caught in a fire like what happened in Tai Po, alike the others I would be worried and shocked and scared, and be in grief because I lost everything.

Being a Hong Kong citizen myself, knowing about this incident I would go there and try to help out as best as I can, as they are my neighbours and fellow citizens that we should help out in times of need, and give out a helping hand.

It depends. Protests can be justified way to have the citizen's voices heard. This can happen when the government actively ignores and even represses the ability for the common people to voice their opinions and repress dissent. Such a show of force may send a signal to government to immediately act on the people's wishes. On the other hand, protests can be based on prejudices and hysteria, leading to uncessary tensions, casualties and damages.

It can be considered active citizenry in that protesting maybe sometimes result in benefits for the nation and its people by forcing the state to act according to the protesters' interest, leading to the state improving the current issues of the country. In the case for the Nepalese youth, being government corruption. On the other hand, the protestors also caused great damage to property such as burning the parliament. This can cause casualties to innocent people. This actions constituited rioting and destruction.

Singaporeans are currently satisfied and the government is receptive to feedback as well as functioning as intended by working in the interest of the people instead of being imbroiled in corruption. Despite this, the situation may change far into the future due to unforseen circumstances.

I do not think so as there are laws put in place to prevent protests and there are ways for citizens to reach out to the government to voice their concerns e.g the town council

I don't think it is a good idea to ban the use of social media. Some children or teenagers may only be using social media for educational purposes and not using it to view harmful content. Banning on social media for them may be unfair, because they are using it for good purposes. To ensure a responsible and safe usage of social media platforms, the government can instead block content that only contains vulgarities or harmful content instead of banning social media completely.

I would be frustrated because social media is what I use to communicate with my friends as well as watching reels during my break.

I think countries such as Singapore provide aid to others for many reasons. One reason could be that they would like to establish a strong and friendly relationship with other countries, so that when they are in need of support they can help too. Another reason could be that they would like to help others out, as we all are human and need help at some point, and would like to try to help others when they need it.

Some risks and challengers that might be faced by the rescuers is that there might be a communication barrier, thus disrupting their operation as they try to rescue people from the earthquake there might be people who do not understand what is going on and what they are trying to do. Another risk/challenge might be the fact that they might be stuck/get injured, and might not be able to receive any medical help there.

We need to treasure what and who we have as we do not know if we will have them in the future. Anything can happen in an instant.

I would get as many towels wet as possible and cover the mouths and noses of those who need it, before trying to find an exit out of the building.

I would search for spare non-perishable foods and blankets to donate to those who have lost their homes.

The residents were all shocked by the incident and all of them lost something valuable to them and disrupted their life for example the models a person had painted and his childrens favourite toys.

If i were to be caught in a fire, i would be shocked and scared for me and my families life. However i will try my best to fafce my fear and try to bring me and my family to escape

I would try to help as much as possible but due to hong kong licing situations i might not be able to help myself.

I personally think it is a good idea to ban the use of social media, as I feel that a lot of teenagers nowadays spend too much time on social media and a lot of the time leads to addiction. This causes a lot of students who attend school to be distracted and end up affecting their studies. Not only causing students to be more focused in school, it can also keep teenagers and children away from negative influence online and scammers that may try to lure students to fall for their traps and get scammed whether financially or emotionally (love scams). This can also protect children from being bullied online, and allow them to have a safer growing environment.

I would be supportive of it and try to advocate, as I believe that it is a good idea to keep teenagers away from bad influence online and over-use of social media and endless scrolling on social media.
