His actual name is John Pierpont Morgan. He was in fact born into a very successful, well known family. Morgan attended the public school in his home town of Hartford and the Episcopal Academy. After this he passed the entrance exam for the English High School of Boston, which would prepare him for careers in commerce. In 1852, J.P got very sick with a Rheumatic fever. After a year in the Azores which is where his father sent him to get better, he returned to school. Once J.p graduated his father sent him to Bellerive to learn French and the University of Göttingen to speak German. Once he finished learning German he went to London to complete the rest of his education. In 1857 while in London he got into banking. 1858 he moved to New York City and worked at the Duncan, Sherman & Company. Then from 1860-1864 he worked for the J. Pierpont Morgan & Company as an agent for his fathers firm in new York. He first married a woman named Amelia Surges but later divorced. he then married Frances Louisa Tracy and had four children. Morgan died in the year 1913.

But he made money through several achievements. Mainly through railroads, steel, and the selling through government bonds. Not to mention the fact that Morgan saved the government from economic disaster more than once.
