Operation Overlord occurred on 6th of June 1934 and involved the allied powers (allies) and NAZI Germany. It began when the allied powers landed in Normandy, on the French coast. Their goal was to liberate the French from the German forces that then occupied parts of France, what then occurred was the largest amphibious battle in history, with the allied forces delivering 5 naval assault divisions.
