Lenny didn't run after the mouse in the movie, where as in the book, Lenny tries to get it after George throws it; In the book, Lenny was sitting in the brush, waiting for George, where in the book, Lenny couldn't find where they were; In the book, Carlson told Candy about how the dog was suffering, but in the movie, Carlson only complained about the dog's smell.
SIMILARITIES:
In both the movie and the book, Carlson wanted to shoot Candy's dog; In both the book and the movie, Lenny snuck the pup out of the dog pen; In the movie, as well as the book, Lenny crushed Slim's hand, and the others told Slim to say,
"It got caught in a machine."
