<title>In 264 B.C, a series of wars took place between the Romans and the Carthage. There were three ‘punic wars’ between the Romans and Carthage and by the third Rome was victorious. The Romans also went into battle with several other countries and each battle brought Rome to meet new neighbours and to win more conquests. Thus by the early Christian era, the entire Mediterranean was firmly under Roman rule. The people communicated through speaking Greek and writing in Latin. When transporting the most preferred way was by sea as it was the cheapest. The main cities in the Roman empire were Jerusalem, Antioch and Rome. </title>

<title>During the time of when Christianity was taking over regions, a man called Saul began a savagery mission to persecute the Lord’s disciples. As he was nearing Damascus, Saul was struck down by a blinding light from heaven. Jesus spoke to Saul in a vision and from that moment he was transformed into a messenger of the gospel and his name was changed to Paul. The conversion of Paul is a tremendously important element of Christian history. This significant testament record beautifully symbolises the crucial elements of the Lord’s plan for human redemption. </title>

<title>After Paul’s conversion, he set out on zealous missionary journeys to preach the word and teachings of the Lord. He spent the rest of his life time travelling on these missionary journeys by foot and boat, a distance of 20 000 miles. His second missionary journey was the longest. Paul travelled for 2800 miles Silas. In Phillip, they were thrown in jail and later forced to leave by the government officials. Paul was directed by God to all different regions around the Mediterranean sea to be the messenger of the gospel</title>

<title>Throughout Pauls years of teaching the gospel and converting people in christians, he has written scripture passages. He wrote his letters in an ordinary way that is similar to the standard letters of the ancient world. This meant he wrote about concerns in his own life like explaining when he was challenged by the Jewish christians. The main message throughout the epistles was to promote faith through Jesus’ birth, death and resurrection. Paul wanted to address the theological issues and clarify what was expected of christianity. In preaching the way of the gospel, Paul walked all over regions surrounding the Mediterranean sea. </title>

<title>Throughout Paul’s life experiences, he has come across many cultural challenges and difficulties. He has expressed what he has gone through culturally and his thoughts in his letters of epistles. He states the issue of the law for Gentiles to become christians. The law states that the Gentiles have to be circumsised but Paul believed that this did not have to happen and you just need faith. Gal 1:1-2:14 is the closest will will get the understanding the Pauls life in Judaism. </title>

<title>Although the writings of Paul were a very long time ago they still make and have a very large significance on us today. In Philippians 2:1-5; 3:12-144:6-9, It is explained that if your treat people with kindness, respect and humility and never treat anyone like they are below you, you will be living life the way that Jesus christ wants us to live. In living by jesus christ’s likeminded way we can strive to be the best person we could possibly be. Looking positive to the future we can hope to be one with the lord in heaven. Although the preacher Paul was killed, his message was not. </title>
