A part of the PLC was showing how to use the learning continuum to set up groups across the grade level not just individual classes.          <title>We held our mock writing assessment a few weeks ago. We had specials teachers and our gifted team help proctor small groups so that every student received the same accomodations they will receive on GMAS. Our 3rd grade team had their students take the mock assessment in a google form so the students had practice on the computer. We then met with the fabulous Pat Brasfield and she facilitated a common grading of a sample writing at each grade level. The conversations we had about the rubrics and what we expect from students were great! The teachers then took what they gathered from our common grading PLC to grade the rest of their class writing. Grade levels are now working on lessons where students are able to interact with the rubric so they understand what is expected of them.  </title>

         <title>Most teachers had previous training on MAP here and there, so sharing the MAP booklet (handout from Beth) served as a refresher.  Teachers were not aware of the benefits of Class Breakdown by Goal as well as the Learning Continuum feature that provides detailed and thorough information for parents.</title>
