Anti-Blackness is defined as the beliefs, attitudes, actions, practices, and behaviors of individuals and
institutions that devalue, minimize, and marginalize the full participation of Black people visibly (or perceived to be) of African descent. It is the systematic denial of Black humanity and dignity, which
makes Black people effectively ineligible for full citizenship. The Anti-Blackness paradigm positions
Blackness as inherently problematic, rather than recognizing the long, rich, and diverse history of Black
people throughout the African diaspora, and acknowledging that Black communities across the United
States (and the world) have been severely disadvantaged as a result of historical and contemporary
systemic racism
There was a quote in the research that said “The reason people think it’s important to be white is that they think it’s
important not to be black.”

A few days later, a conversation with a former NFL player and Green Beret convinced Kaepernick to kneel, rather than sit, out of respect for members of the military. It was this action, taking the knee, that would come to be associated with Kaepernick and with racial justice protests in sports around the world.
Though he never played again after the 2016-2017 season, Kaepernick has remained one of the most talked-about figures in the world of sports ever since the media first noticed his silent protest. He has continued to express his views on policing, prison abolition and racial justice and encouraged other players to speak out. Following the events of the summer of 2020 and the protests in the wake of George Floyd’s murder by a Minneapolis police officer, players from across American sports and around the world began kneeling before games in solidarity with the oppressed and in recognition of the need for racial justice.

How has Anti-blackness contributed to the development of self-hate in the Black Community? Identify was in which self-hate has manifested? Remember to answer these questions with AECC paragraphs.

Anti - Blackness has contributed to the development of self hate in the Black Community because of how people who are anti - black view them which would obviously be in a bad and negative way therefore it makes them feel bad and makes them start questioning themselves. A good example of this would be slavery when some slaves were told to by their owners and treated as items they started to believe they were items which made them not try and fight back or stick up for themselves. As I just stated slavery was really the fine deal start of self hate and where it grew from and manifested from being that slavery was going on for as long as people could remember.

Anti blackness is a human rights issue due to how it makes people feel less of themselves and like they don't have the same rights as minorities in some way. International human rights law seeks to eliminate racial discrimination in the world through treaties that bind and norms that transform.
