Fun games to help all kinds of children who are struggling with phonemic awareness. This app is free and it helps all children including children with dyslexia. I would have students who snuggle the most play this game for 30 minutes at least 2 times a week. On iPad that are hopefully provided in class and encourage parents to download this app to help their children at home as well. <br><br></div>]]></description>

(Bill Martin Jr/ Eric Catle)  <br>Green Eggs and Ham (Dr. Seuss) <br>Goodnight Moon (Margaret Wise Brown)  <br><br>Reading to children can help them hear rhyming words and the sound of each letter. When reading these book I would sop constantly and ask children if they can name any rhyming words to help children hear each sound. I would strongly encourage parents to read to their children every night so have them read at least one page so that children could practice sounding out words. For example I would show the student a picture of a dog and ask them, "what is the sound of the first letter?" if they get it right then they can go in if not then they have to go inside and practice pronouncing the word. This can help students want to practice their pronunciation so they get the answer correctly. This can also help me see where the students are at in the learning and see who I need to focus on more.  </div>]]></description>

Instead of just learning and learning, I want to make it fun for the students and I know that children love using white board of magnetic letters. I could ask a child to come up and put the letter that makes the "L" sound on the board and so on. I think this would encourage students to participate and interact with the class as well as learn the sounds of words. I could also teach them rhyming and much more. </div>]]></description>
