I use technology (ICT) extensively since 1989, inside and outside the classroom, from music software to programming Learning Objects. My last paper on the subject is "e-learning in the classroom?". You can listen score edited traditional portuguese songs, and watch videocast episodes about on-line music applications, done by my undergraduate students, freshman and sophomores.

My name is Anna Maria and I am an English teacher in an Comprehensive Institute. My students are between 11 and 13 but I am also in the principal's staff, coordinating different projects of the Institute.

Since last year I have been an Etwinner teacher but most of all I have been coordinating as many as possible teachers of my school (from the Pre Primary - Primary - Secondary) to work on such projects using all the possible digital tools. In fact this year we have received the award of Etwinning School and we are very proud of that.
I am also the referent of the national project "Generazioni Connesse" whose main task is the correct use of internet and the fight aginst cyberbullying. My school has got a E-safety Policy.
I am happy to start this corsue as I believe that being in touch with teachers from different countries is the best way to learn and improve my own competences.

Hi everybody, I am 53 years old. I live in Siracusa on the eastern coast of Sicily and I teach to children aged 10-13 which in Italy is called scuola secondaria di primo grado.
I have been teaching English for about 15 years.
My school is located in the outskirts of town, precisely in what is considered an autonomous suburb.
The Students I teach to belong to lower middle-calss families and there are some difficult situations because unemployment is widespread.
I love my job and my students and I share the passion for foreign languages with the whole school staff.
We are interested in any initiative which involves European projects and we are active on etwinning, we have just been awarded the European Etwinning School label for the year 2018/2019.
Our school is provided with Interactive whiteboards in each class and we have a multimedia room with 10 computers. We can use internet networks quite easily because we have an efficient wireless connection.
We allow students to use their mobile phones under our control and following esafety regulations whenever we need to use online apps or any other software.
I teach to my colleagues too, they are always interested in improving their English so we organize afternoon courses for adults, we have a dedicated channel to share ideas and we use different ICT tools to keep in touch and work together.
I also teach for English certifications at extra-curricular courses, a great achievement in our area!
The reason why I have joined this course is that I strongly believe that technology is an added value to modern teaching but it works only if the whole school is oriented towards its use so I hope to improve myself and learn enough to motivate my colleagues,

This year I've started my first German class in the morning.
I use technologies (digital books, different apps and classroom) with my students every lesson.
They are more active, enthusiastic and are learning a lot as regards language and digital competence!

In the school we have 5 computer classrooms with 15 computers and 15 desktop computers per cabinet and about 70 notebooks used by teachers. The school is covered by a wireless computer network and the desktops are connected to the network cables. We have fast internet access (50 Mbps) via CARNET. For three years I was the administrator of the entire computer infrastructure and now I'm the head of an IT classroom with 16 desktop computers.
