This court case was a major influence on the Little Rock 9, as it provided an opportunity for them to attendance all-white school. Before this court case, schools were completely segregated. Blacks and whites attended different schools, with white schools being much more privileged. This case ruled segregation within schools as unconstitutional, and therefore paved the way for the Little Rock 9 to enter Central High School.
