"The Illusion of being Comfortable in my Own Skin," is a piece about the changing we do to fit the perception of others. Like a chameleon uses their color to blend in with their surroundings from predators, we as a society change ourselves to fit with the people around us to avoid being embarrassed by our true selves. The figures were inspired by the chameleon and the background is supposed the be the illusion. The title adds a very important meaning to this piece, that even though we change ourselves nobody knows that we do this. The illusion is that we are comfortable in who we are.
