         <description><![CDATA[<p>When a car suddenly stops, the passenger’s body keeps moving forward because of Newton's First Law of Motion (the law of inertia). Unless something stops them, they will continue moving at the car’s original speed. This can make them hit the steering wheel, dashboard, or windshield, causing severe injuries in the body.</p>]]></description>

According to Newton's Second Law of Motion (Force = mass × acceleration), reducing the acceleration (slowing down more gradually) lowers the force on the body.
