New arched bridges are now typically made of steel with gaps between each beam. The new arched bridges are now made to let people pass and let large boats pass and are now much larger and stronger than before. these bridges have much larger and less arches. the arched bridge is great for natural landscapes by letting water flow under with no distributions, and the bridge takes much less space.

Ancient roman arched bridges were mad of clay bricks and concert. These bridges were designed to let people cross but still let small boats pass under. the arch was made by stacking stones and then build scaffolding to lay the other stones that are above the river and lastly they place a KEYSTONE on the top to finish the arch. The arch helps a bridge by distrusting the load above the river to the solid concrete blocks placed in the river.
