I think you should show a video to all students just to tap into their prior knowledge. It might help them fill out the KWL chart. I like the KWL chart though because lots of kids probably hear about Pearl Harbor but don't know any specific information.

It can be hard for students to disagree with an entire class so even if a student thinks differently they may choose to argue the more popular side.
- I would suggest that if this happens that you as the teacher argue the other side to the students.
- If you are not initially going to assign someone a side I wouldn't wait to do it because some student may get upset if you force the to switch and not others.
