         <description><![CDATA[<p>Glycolysis is the first step to cellular respiration. Glycolysis is what breaks down the simple sugar glucose we get from eating carbs. This process happens in a cells cytoplasm. </p><p>Example - A cross country athlete practices by constantly running which makes their muscles constantly need energy because of the breaking down of glucose. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Calvin Cycle is the light independent part of photosynthesis which occurs in the stroma of the chloroplasts. It uses CO2,ATP, and NADPH which produces G3P. This is a 3 carbon sugar that is used to create glucose.</p><p>The reason I chose National Geographic is because of their high quality journalism that explores science. I like how they show photos as examples. </p><p>How is this cycle used in everyday life? The Calvin cycle powers the production of mostly all foods and materials consumed by humans. </p>]]></description>
