Good morning, everyone. The passage that I chose is number 41 and 42 in 9월 모의고사. It is about what FOMO and JOMO are; FOMO is the fear of missing out, and JOMO the joy of missing out. Since I’ve become very interested in social psychology lately, these two interesting syndromes made me research them more. Today, I’d like to introduce you to how FOMO syndrome affects today’s real estate market.
Have you ever hear about panic buying? Panic buying occurs when consumers unusually buy large amounts of product in anticipation of a high price increase, or a shortage. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, there have been many panic buying events worldwide. As house prices and stock prices have risen at record levels all over the world, many young generations in Korea, especially people in their 20s and 30s, bought apartments or stocks by pulling everything together, which is called 영끌, or by taking out too many loans to invest in the market, so-called 빚투. The anxiety about falling behind others like FOMO is one of the main factors influencing panic buying. As a growing number of loans are taken out by individuals, the unrelenting surge in household debt has become the biggest downside risk to the Korean economy. Due to the economic instability, many people who have been overbuying real estate and stocks due to anxiety are now causing damage not only to themselves but to the entire economy.
Likewise, FOMO syndrome not only has a detrimental effect on our physical and mental health but also influences the property market, and finally harms the entire economy. We sometimes think everyone makes money but me and others might have rewarding experiences that we are not missing out on. Like the solutions mentioned in the passage, however, it will be necessary for us to accept JOMO in our lives, which is to be satisfied with the present and to be aware that we can miss out on anything at any time. Let’s enjoy missing out. Thank you for listening.

I like animals and I'm interested in medical, so I've been investigating more about these passage.

Do you have a pet? I have a puppy. In addition to mental help, I'll tell you 3 reasons why these pets are good for your health. First, your pet helps reducing your blood pressure. Researchers at New York University found a person raising a pet is more than twice as effective in treating high blood pressure. Second, it helps prevent allergies in child. The U.S. Institute of Allergy Clinical Experiments has announced that raising a pets in a home with a baby under six months can help prevent allergies and eczema. Finally, pets relieve chronic pain. “When you live with animals, you get more endorphins and these endorphins have the effect of relieving pain,” Dr. Johnson said. In fact, some hospitals are conducting pet treatment for those who have undergone surgery.

It is said that pets also help our health in many ways, such as reducing stress and cholesterol. Isn't it amazing that the pets we thought were cute and adorable have a lot of effects on human health? Thank you for your time.

Hello, everyone. The passage that I chose is number 38 in 9월 모의고사. It’s about adaptation and acclimation. Adaptation is inherited ability to change to be more prosperous and more viable in a particular environment and acclimation is temporarily changing with the environment. Since I'm interested in biology, I become curious about examples about adaptation and acclimation. So today I’m going to talk about adaptaion and acclimation of oceanic fish and human.

Do you know that all animals have started from a same ancestor, called LUCA? But now we are different from oceanic fish. That’s because oceanic fish adapted to salty sea and we human adapted to land where the salt is rare. As a result of adaptation, fish secrete a hormone called glucocorticoid to release the salt. Conversely human secrete aldosterone, a hormone that stores salt in the body. Now I’ll introduce the example of acclimation. When human drink little water or take in too much salt, antidiuretic hormones are realsed. With the secretion of antidiuretic hormones, we acclimate to temporarily altered environment.

Today I introduced you about adaptation and acclimation of oceanic fish and human. I ‘d like to emphasize that both adaptation and acclimation help us survive in altered environment. Thanks to them we are living well. I wonder how future generations will adapt or acclimate to future environment. That’s all for today. Thank you for listening.

It is about the positive function of body movement. I don't like to move, but K14 is saying it's good to move, so I was curious and I chose this passage.

It says that exercise and movement are great ways for us to remove negative energy. When we exercise, brain releases serotonin, dopamine, and bdnf. Serotone controls emotions and sleep. Dopamine controls your positive mind. And BDNF is responsible for memory and learning. They can make your mind healthy. If we get anxious, We are hard to breathe well. Lung capacity is key to anxiety symptoms. Anxiety symptoms cause excessive pulse and sweat secretion. These lead to brain confusion. That's why we feel anxiety. If you increase your lung capacity through exercise, your pulse and sweat secretion are stabilized. At the same time your brain releases hormones, so you can escape depression and maintain a healthy body.

I didn't like to move, but as I read this passage again, I thought movement is really important for my health. To make our bodies healthy, we need to release hormones by moving. Movement is a great way to erase negative emotions! Let's have more time to move. Thank you for listening.

This passage is written about the direction in which future education should go. Recently, I have been very interested in personality education for infants and toddlers as I have frequently read articles about personality education. So, I would like to talk about the necessity and direction of personality education for young children.

Did you ever receive personality education when you were young? personality education is considered to be very important in the early childhood years. Early childhood is a very important period for the formation of basic lifestyle habits. Basic lifestyle habits are formed by repetition of behavior in the process of adapting to various environments, and once formed habits are not easily changed, so they are the basis of personality education. Therefore, basic lifestyle habits of infants and young children play an important role in personality formation and social development.

So, how will personality education be in the future? In line with the era of the 4th industrial revolution, we will be members who respect, consider, communicate, and fulfill their responsibilities in the digital space and address social problems as well as climate change. In addition, personality education should be emphasized for living with others and for the community.

As such, personality education is essential in that it plays an important role in the formation of personality and social development by forming basic lifestyles for infants and young children. And in the future society, ethical education in the digital space should be strengthened in line with the global era.

In this article, the higher the object goes, the higher the potential energy increases. It's against gravity and overcoming resistance. To go down is to surrender to gravity. In order to raise an object that was on floor, 'work' is required. I’ll explain the relationship between gravitational-potential energy and work in more detail based on what I learned in physics class.
Gravitational-potential energy means that the higher the object is, the greater the potential, and is included in the mechanical energy with the kinetic energy. The gravitational-potential energy is proportional to the mass of the object and the height away from the floor. Work is what external forces give to objects, and the energy of objects changes as much as they work. If an object is lifted at constant speed, the amount of change in mechanical energy and the amount of change in gravitational-potential energy are equal because there is no change in kinetic energy. that is, the work done by external forces is equal to the amount of change in potential energy.
In fact, the gravitational-potential energy is relative. When measuring the height from the ground, there is no exact standard for the ground. In gravitational-potential energy, differences are more important than exact values, so the criterion is established wherever you put it. If the gravitational-potential energy at infinity is set to zero, the energy on Earth becomes negative. In general, the gravitational potential energy on the intuitive surface is set to zero.
This knowledge of physics allows us to better understand the world. Merely analyzing the visible motions mechanically can be interesting beyond academic discipline. I want people to think of mechanics as fun rather than just difficult. Thank you for listening.

Have you ever had troble memorizing something? Today, I'll talk about the P6 passage in Xi-story that is about associating what we are learning with what you already know, which helps you memorize.

Last year, when we were learning history, I thought that if I wanted to get a good grade, I had to memorize the year when each event occurred. In first attempt, I just thoughtlessly memorized dozens of years and events. As a result, I only memorized at the moment I studied and forgot tomorrow. So, I considered how to remember them for a long time and accurately. After a long consideration, I hit on a new way of memorizing. That was associating the number of years with the name of the event. For example, in 1954, 사사오입 amendment was passed. If you look at the word 사사오입개헌, you can see the number 4 and 5. So when you see that word, it will remind you of the year 1954.

It was possible to memorize the year and the event without forgetting it quickly. So If you relate to what you know when you have to memorize unfamiliar words, you will have a great effect on memorizing them. Thank you for listening.

Most people now know that people in the past had a short lifespan. The reason is that it is known that the lifespan is short because the statistics are generated by simplifying the information. I'm going to publish a fallacy in statistics regarding the lifespan of people in the past.

Have you ever heard of ‘average life expectancy’? ‘Average life expectancy’ is a statistic that indicates how long people will live on average. However, contrary to popular belief, it is a statistic that shows how long children will live. That is why, at that time, medical technology was very poor compared to today, so the mortality rate of young children was high. According to archaeologists, only about 10 out of 20 babies survived in prehistoric times. In other words, the reason that the life expectancy of ancestors was low in the statistics was that children with weak immunity at the time had a short lifespan, so the ‘average life expectancy’ based on this information had no choice but to cause an error.

If we simply accept information like this and produce statistics, we need to publish statistics in consideration of the fact that the information can create errors and give modern people a wrong perception, which can be deeply perceived by people. thank you

This passage says that even if the environment changes or the situation changes, humans pursue a relationship. Recently, I read ‘If we can’t go the speed of light’ by Cho Yeop Kim. This fiction’s main character agonizes about her goals and relationships, and eventually loses her family. Today, we’re here to discuss relationships and goals.
The main character of this sf fiction was a researcher who studied the technology of freezing humanity. While she was working, her family move faraway planet of the universe.
She finished her research and tried to leave Earth. But the spacecraft bound for the planet where her family had moved was no longer in service. Everyone has to choose between relationships and goals in life. I think we should be relationship-oriented over a long life. Whether the purpose is important or the relationship is important is ultimately about money or people. It is inhumane and unethical to say that money is more important than people.
In this novel, the author said: Continuing to study the universe will only increase people’s loneliness. We are developing technology to communicate with other. We don’t care for the person right next to us. It is an ironic phenomenon to ignore people around you and spend time and money without being sure if it is possible. I would like to emphasize that to live humanly, you have to live a relationship-oriented life rather than a goal-oriented life. The passage I chose is E4 in 자이스토리. It argues that urban regeneration projects should be carried out in a way that helps improve the lives of all citizens rather than the outward transformation of buildings. I'm interested in the social meaning of architecture, so I will introduce an example and points of urban regeneration projects in relation to this passage.

First, I will tell you the story of the

1988 Seoul Olympics. As the Olympics is a festival for people all over the world, it was a great opportunity to show our country to everyone. It was the first time for Korea to host the Olympics, so Korea prepared harder for the Olympics than anything else. And the government proceeded with the reorganization of the city. But behind this splendid figure was a dark shadow. The government decided to demolish many buildings, so citizens who suddenly lost their homes strongly opposed. But the government forced the demolition to avoid showing this to foreigners. In the end, this resulted in tens of thousands of Olympic refugees.

Likewise, urban regeneration, which focuses only on the appearance, can cause the suffering of citizens. Poverty and the gloomy state of the city, which are invisible but still exist in reality, will never disappear just by denying them. Therefore, urban regeneration should help citizens' lives rather than transforming urban buildings.

That's all for today.

지문: P15
지문 요약: 음악이 협력에 미치는 영향

Hello everyone, the phrase I chose is the number P15 of Jai Story. The topic I'm going to present is the impact of music on collaboration. The dictionary definition of music is the art of time that uses sound as a material. More specifically, it’s about using negative rhythms, volume, and tempo to soar or inspire emotions to deliver a message. Music is divided into music and noise as the familiarity that individuals and society accept, and the common denominator of that familiarity is becoming more and more and more developed as it is becoming more globalized. Listening to music reduces stress and calms I down.

Listening to soft, slow, and quiet music lowers blood pressure, slows heart rate and pulse, and reduces stress hormones. Music also promotes the production of neurotransmitters in the brain, making you feel better and improving productivity.
When you listen to music, dopamine is produced in your brain, which is responsible for pleasure and reward, and when you listen to your favorite music, you feel good just like when you eat your favorite food. Also, listening to your favorite music during boring time improves productivity. Music can change metabolic rates, increase or lower our blood pressure, and have a positive or negative effect on energy levels and digestion depending on the type of music used. Music can increase the secretion of endorphins in the brain, induce pleasure or relaxation.

A British team of researchers took MRI scans of brain activity while participants listened to music. Later, the participants were asked who they thought composed the music, people or computers. Participants who believed it was composed by humans had a network of cerebral cortex activated, while those who believed it was composed by computers were not activated. All of this means that music has the power to integrate your brain. The most important thing is to make you happier and healthier. It gives you other ways to communicate, express yourself and finds the freedom to open your eyes and explore a new world. Thank you for listening.

I’m going to talk about number 29-1 in 수능특강.

Today, I would like to introduce how eating slowly affects us.

Most of the Korean people's meal time is short. A research institute surveyed thousands of people and found that nine out of ten people didn’t eat more than 15 minutes. It takes about 20 minutes to recognize that your brain is full. Eating food quickly can lead to overeating because you don’t get a sign that your brain is full in the hormone-and-receiving system, so you don’t feel full even though you’ve eaten enough food. Conversely, studies have shown that increasing the number of chews per bite can reduce the amount you eat by nearly 15%. Also, if you eat food slowly, you can absorb more nutrients. The longer you chew slowly, the more it helps the digestive process, making it easier for the intestines to absorb nutrients from food. This is also effective in relieving stress and tension. because chewing itself relieves stress and relaxes the mind and body. Conversely, if you eat fast, you will be at risk of various gastrointestinal diseases.

You can see that eating slowly like this has a positive effect on us. If you have had a habit of eating fast, why don't you consciously practice eating slowly from now on?

Thank you for listening.

So I researched that reason. I'm talking about Black Friday marketing.

Do you know why Black Friday is always successful? Companies use the facts behind social psychology to boost sales.

First, Black Friday creates a sense of urgency. It’s because there's a time limit for the discount. Another reason for Black Friday's success is close to Christmas. This dramatically amplifies the sense of urgency. Second, Getting a product at a discounted price hurts critical thinking and rational ability. This turn customer’s brains into buying mode .Companies take advantage of this fact. I chose this topic because there are more accidents about electric scooters. You can see a lot of electric scooters these days, right? Two people rode it and didn’t wear helmets, so it's causing traffic chaos. What should we do with this problem? When driving, scooters must have a motor or driver's license, one person must board, and a helmet must be worn. You can get a driver's license from 19 years of age or older. Therefore, it is illegal for students under the age of 19 to ride without a license. There is getting a license verification system from the government But we rent it without a license confirmation. it is virtually meaningless. The drivers themselves must follow by the rules. Please pay a lot of attention to the things you need to be careful about when driving a scooter. Thank you for listening!

I'm going to talk about my additional toughts after reading the passage of Xi-story today. This passage is why the negative effects of climate change are greater in developing countries than in developed countries. I'm going to tell you an additional reason that I thought about besides the reason in the text.
After reading this text, I did some research on climate change. It takes a lot of money to prepare for and overcome climate change. One example is solar energy, which is one of the new and renewable energy sources. The cost of installing solar power for housing is more than 5 million 원 in korea. These costs are too much for the people of the developing countires. As another example, we need to develop science and technology to solve global warming, but we need a lot of support for science and technology research. But developing countries lack the capital capacity to fully support them. Therefore, it is less active in dealing with climate change than in advanced countries. This shows that developing countries are negatively affected by climate change more than developed countries.
That's all for today. Thank you for your attention.
