         <description><![CDATA[<div>I teach English, so one thing I do that attempts to address E-6 is making sure I choose readings that represent my students. To begin my course theme is "the need to tell our stories." We trace this theme from one reading to the next. For example, I start the course with a contemporary African-American female author, Jesmyn Ward, then make explicit the connection between the themes and experiences in her book and the themes and experiences that are found the obligatory cannon guys like Shakespeare. </div>]]></description>
