was the American scientist that went to Africa for three years to study elephants in their natural habitat. She was shocked in all that she witnessed. She made a non fiction young adults book about her experience. The elephants needed a place to live but also the humans living in Africa did as well. She studied how she can help both animals and humans in this situation. At first she started learning about frogs (her favorite animals) She found similar findings between the two. They wanted to save the elephants while save the humans in Africa.
