Women used to just take on the roles of a housewife. They would clean, cook, and take care of their family. Many of them finally recognized in the 1960’s that they deserve equal pay with men. At the time of World War 2, they had to help out men in the armed forces who were deployed and complete the jobs they had. Women were receiving lower wages, when they were doing the same exact work as men. Recognizing this, increased the many strikes that occurred soon after and so many people were demanding equal pay for equal work.

I chose this specific topic because I was intrigued to learn more information on why, after all of these years, women will still receive lower wages in comparison to men, especially after gaining so many rights. I wanted to learn more on why this topic is so controversial. I chose to do my project in the form of a padlet because we became familiar with using it in this class and wanted to summarize strong points created in my essay.

I believe this goes back to Schulz's and Bloom's reasonings. Normally, people don’t make conclusions based on facts and sources but on their own views and moral thinking. In this world, there are unlimited amounts of controversial topics where people can’t agree on a solution because people have different ways of understanding a problem and not every single person has the same morals, so it makes it very difficult to find one solution.
