  • The two end tables will have 4 people at them.  This is not affected by the total number of tables, so it does not have a variable with it making a constant of 8.  4(2)
  • In between the two end tables there will be two less tables than total tables.  There will be three people at each of the middle tables.  3(n -2)
  • This expression does not work with one table because it is based off of there being two end tables.  Therefore, n > 1 is necessary
