Students may face implicit bias causing them to be overrepresented in special education, while other students needs go unmet. Schools have a better change to identify and serve all students using CRT. When students feel valued by being represented in the curriculum. When teachers move away from the deficit mindset, they are able to identify the students assets. They can then focus on student-centered instruction. Sometimes people tend to complete implicit bias tendencies without even realizing it.
