Hi all

I am Paul Roger LIBITE, happy to meet you. I was Born on January 23, 1961 at 7: pm in Edéa, a medium-sized city located 170 km from Yaoundé, the political capital of Cameroon (my country of origin) and 60 km from Douala, the economic capital. I am a Cameroonian.

I am a former Head of Department of the Demographic and Social Statistics at National Institute of statistics of Cameroun. I have been involved  during 35 years in data collection, analysis and dissemination processes through nation wide operations (surveys or census) and abroad partcularly in francophone african countries. Currently I am retired  but still contunuing with technical assistance as consultant and sharing knowledge and experience as a associated lecturer at IFORD-Yaounde (Demographic and Research Training Institute).   At IFORD, I teach two courses. One focuses on indirect methods of estimation of fertility indicators. The other concerns quantitative methods of collection in demography, including the CRVS as one of the main sources of data. In this vein, as a consultant I support Cameroon in the development of the report on CRVS statistics for the year 2023. I am also involved in the project to assess inequalities in CRVS  Africa (ASC-ECA Project) and CRVS Applied Research and Training (CART) Initiative.

My name is Rugsapon Sanitya "H". I am a researcher of Burden of Disease research program, International Health Policy Program (IHPP) under MOPH, Thailand. I am experienced in developing population-based burden of disease (BOD) indicators in Thailand. Also, worked on the development of quality cause of death data and CRVS data, a critical requirement for input in BOD studies.

My name is Rachael Tsaurai from Zimbabwe. I am a statistician in the Demographic Analysis department at the Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency. My primary focus is on the production of vital statistics. I am eager to meet you all and learn best practices that will help us produce reliable vital statistics

I am Mohammad Ashraful Alam from Bangladesh. I am working in the Cabinet Division as Deputy Secretary in charge of Civil Registration Branch. Hope this will be good workshop for exchanging CRVS knowledge. Looking forward to meeting everyone. Thank you.

The data of CRVS that we receive are checked for there validation ,accuracy and are made into data files to obtain the final tables. Looking forward to learning more about CRVS.

This cource is very important for us because we are now have plan to develop the National CR statistics report based on the CR data. I am looking forward to meet you all and to learn from you.

My name is Raj Gautam Mitra (Raj). I am an International Consultant on CRVS, currently working with Vital Strategies supporting countries in Asia and Africa in improving their CRVS systems. I also support the organization the organization in global work related to CRVS. I have also been supporting other UN and international donor agencies in this work. I am a statistician and worked for 35 years in the area of demographic and social statistics in the government and UN. Looking forward to meeting you !!

I am Senior Technical Advisor for Data Impact Program at Vital Strategies, and supporting Bolivia and Paraguay in Latin America. I am based in Peru and looking forward to meet you all.

I’m currently part of the CRVS Indonesia team in BPS-Statistics Indonesia, collaborating with Ministry of Planning, MoHA, and MoH. We’re on the verge of publishing our first CRVS Report (wish us luck for the release on mid of this month! 🎉).

I served as a Computer Expert at the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration, Ministry of Home Affairs, Republic of Indonesia. My primary responsibilities involved data processing and ensuring the synchronization of population data with other ministries and institutions. Additionally, We collaborated with BPS-Statistics Indonesia in the preparation and publication of the first CRVS report.
